Thank you comment section I now look like a psychopath laughing and reading these. (Nah but seriously I agree with almost everyone here, if not all of everyone)

What a tragic end, for an individual who must've inspired and empowered soooo many in her short life! 🙏🏽

Well Clement at least got his client off muder charges by proving his theory that the victim shot himself dead by... shooting himself dead... in the process of proving it. Now theres a lawyer dedicated to his job.

Sad to hear that the bear was shot for the crime of….being a bear. Those two idiots went into the territory of a dangerous predator, apparently without the means to either defend themselves, or to repel the animal when its intentions became clear. With predicable consequences. Why hold the bear responsible for their stupidity?

The narration states Bailee was a non-female but also refers to him as her.

The part you're referring to actually said "fastest known female time"

The true professionals like Reinhold Messner and Ed Viesturs for example did not die and lived to tell their adventures. The foolish like this one as well as many others didn’t. That’s the major difference between a surviving professional and a dying amateur.

For those in the comments that are denigrating Bailee's decisions and saying that she should have been roped up, using protection, should have top-roped, etc... It is obvious that you have never done any committing traverses or climbs in the wilderness in the mountains. The mountains are not like the sterile environment in a gym or at the local developed crag. Huge difference. RIP Bailee.

I think this proves my belief that IQ tests are junk. The only thing they show is.... how good you are at IQ tests. That woman who tried to break into her ex-lovers home with a shovel, then got stuck going down the chimney, shouldn't have been a doctor - she was an idiot.

Sorry for this young person... but she seems like the type that was trying to speed run this climb... only so many roll of the dice.

Stress not. This climber passed on in only one reality. Quantum immortality suggests that another timeline was spawned, and they survived the climb, unaware they died in another reality.

What is there to find on top of the mountains to risk ones life for ? ...peers pressure ? Lack of respect and desires to be famous and be respected among her peers ? Some individuals just simply have too much free time to be wasted .

I disagree with the verdict--Bostock had no reason to specify, as they'd been getting the correct item for years without doing so. Nicholson had no excuse for changing items without at the very least informing customers....and certainly should have asked permission. It sucks that it took so many poor people getting ill and dying....if it'd affected the upper crust, they'd have dived in headfirst, and might have found the answer a bit quicker. But that's how it is....poor people have to seriously suffer before the authorities will stir. Also, this was just before Jack London visited the poor parts of London, and then wrote a book about it. The poor were suffering in many horrible ways, and this is just a short time after Jack the Ripper. I'm so glad to be a poor man of the 21st century.....

“Shocked to learn of her accident”. A multitude of things can go wrong with this type of activity and all it takes is one slip and you are done. It’s not shocking, it’s an inherent risk, especially when you are pushing boundaries. It’s like being shocked that a motorcyclist, who was known for their love of speed, died in a crash. I’ve dealt with exposure on many occasions, hiked 1000s of miles in Grizzly country, and dealt with just about every type of climate and condition this country has to offer. It wouldn’t be surprising if I die from a fall, lightning strike, mauling, dehydration, heat stroke, flash flood/drowning, fire, starvation, at the hand of another human, or struck by a passing car.

My honest opinion is that climbing free solo style is climbers that have gotten so skilled but have ALSO gotten so complacent to avoid basic protection for each section of climb. Not having anything to hang off of in case of falling is just gambling.
