@@pennyproud1621 I thought perhaps the poster might care to know, as well as any other interested parties. But thank you for your thoughtful and heartfelt insight. Herbivores, by definition, don't eat meat (although some animals like bugs might go down with the roughage). An animal that eats both animal and plant matter is an omnivore. Many animals exhibit aggressive behaviors. Aggression is certainly not limited to carnivores - I'm sure most people know that. However, a hungry herbivore does not attack an animal in order to satiate itself. It attacks a plant.

@@ertsixbarf We have a remote off-road recreational cabin here in Alaska and it is in bear country. We get both brown and black bear passing through the yard occasionally. I’m sure more go by than we see. Also there are moose there and in the yard more often than bear.

@@Chris_at_Home its hard to avoid bears when in Alaska, i did live in central BC Canada, yes, had also moose, a moutain lion, black bears, lots of birds, like sandhill cranes, even an eagle, why is it that when trying to make picts, it always fails ? specially with birds, then, just ignore them, and wow, by not trying anything made me have great times,

It blows my mind that some people think wild and extreme predators at the top of their food chain are big stuffed animals that pose no threat. So like the “this shit will burn you” warning on fast food coffee cups, somebody else f’d around and found out lions can kill you where a window once was
@adreabrooks115 ай бұрын
Except that the coffee cup thing was entirely McDonald's fault. At the time of that lawsuit, they kept their coffee roughly 20 degrees Fahrenheit hotter than other places. The plaintiff ended up with third degree burns on 6% of her skin because the coffee was so hot that it burned instantly. These days, they've lowered it to a level where you'll only get third degree burns after 20 seconds, allowing you to strip out of your pants if you spill coffee in your lap...

The current Olympic champion of all time - in this guy's humble opinion - is the feller who constantly threw himself against the window of his umpteenth floor office in order to demonstrate to aghast newcomers how strong the windows were. He was right about the windows. Unfortunately he omitted to account for the strength of the adhesive that held them to the walls.

Problem with the lion parks is that, because they are rehomed there as problem lions, they are not afraid of people, as they were the ones removed for raiding and killing cattle and such. Fun fact about the Kruger park is that the one thing they tell you is not to leave the vehicle, because there is almost always going to be a lion around, and over half of them are confirmed man eaters, the rest are suspected.

Come at me. I dang near shot a $8000 Elk. We had gone thru 3 pens with no issue. This two year old male broke from group to go at me. Owner tried to distract him. I am backing for gate, finally draw down. Elk realized “something changed” ran off.
