OK then, my wife and i have been to this resort twice in the past and will be returning in march of 2025. Now then, about the beach and the water colour, I did my investigation 3 years ago and found out about this situation, no big deal since we are not beach people, outside of a morning walk the beach is not a big deal to us. But for those who profess to being travellers they fell a bit short when it comes to doing a standard check, and if you are a beach person that should be the first check you do, (perhaps you should have gone to Cuba i understand the beaches there are quite good). The "party pool" is not like you would see at lets say Riu Republica, the people we met in the past are of a decent age and not what you could consider as boisterous and if you wish to be friendly this is the place to go for good fun and entertainment. Yes the quiet pool is that really quiet, you can catch up on your rest and what ever you wish to do in the quiet of the day. Food here is grand and has just about anything you could ever wish and with lots of options you cant go wrong with any of the a la carte, the Brazilian Steak House, the Asian Fusion, the Don Julio and of course the Italian restaurant on the La Romana family side of the facility. Look I am not sure when this review was done but they seemed a bit light on the facility outside of the bathroom in their suite. Oh yes and dont forget the staff, the stafff is one of the best parts of this place (funny no mention of them) service here is great and one of the main reasons for a three-peat to come here, i cant say enough good about them from the maids to the bartenders to the grounds keepers and the general staff all are helpful and on top of their game. OK then i took a look at this review since it was relatively recent and to be honest i am a bit disappointed in the lack of mentions of entertainment and staff and things that make coming to a resort memorable. In my humble opinion. Agreed this is not Cap Cana but then again it is not a Cuban experience either.

As a brit i love Indian food, but also as other commentators have said, we go bad rep for poor during WW2. Of course the Americans did not like our food, it was very basic due to the war and rationing.

Thanks for the video. Proper Brits do not toast there bread for a sarnie/sandwich ( and yes it's sandwich not butty) They can't call it it a Cornish Pasty unless it's made in Cornwall.... It's a protected species now -) The best fish n' chip shops always remove the skin from their fish, cut their own chips and blanche them. Bread n' butter pudding should only be served with custard.... Upon pain of imprisonment. Chicken Tikka is spicy and the Massala (Indian for sauce) was added to make it sweeter for British taste. The dish shouldn't be overly spicy.

Hello great video! What location was the beach with the strip of restaurants?
@dianaelias1Күн бұрын
The condo side is actually called Playa Nueva Romana and is not part of Bahia Principe. It's a gated community of apartments and villas. Many of these are used as Airbnb's. My husband and I have stayed in these Airbnb's many times when visiting family nearby. We definitely don't go there for the beach, it looks pretty much the same all the time, maybe not as brown, but it's nothing like the beaches in the rest of the Dominican Republic.

Another Great Video ! We have stayed at Bouganville 3 times now and loved it each time. But yes beware the water is murky. Not as bad as you guys had it. In the spring the lagoon colours come out, but rainy season yes many shades of brown. Besides that the resort and beach it self is perfect for a relaxing trip . Beach is very walk-able with little hassle from vendors. Great very clean resort. Cheers Fellow Canadian Travelers

Very nice video - I love your channel! I have been to Anguilla twice in one year and it certainly is one of the most expensive destinations in the Caribbean. BUT it is affordable if you stay at a condo/cottage/apartment and don't mind to actually cook some meals yourself (which I enjoy on vacation). While some of the luxury hotels on Anguilla belong to the best in the world, I prefer to rent my own place with kitchen and outdoor area. There are quite a few very nice condos/apartments on Anguilla, and they cost a fracture of hotel rooms. It of course depends on the time of the year, and in main season from December to April, the prices are very high. I traveled in February and August, and in August you not only have the beaches to yourself (even though there is no such time of the year where they are crowded at all), but the prices are going down a lot. Only drawback to go in August is, that many restaurants (and hotels) close down until October, so the choice for going out for dinner is VERY limited. But if you stay at your own place and like to cook, you can do Anguilla for under $2.000,- for two weeks easily. The sea in February always seems to be more rough and there is more wind than I experienced in August, where also the water was the flattest and most beautiful you can only imagine! So my preferred time of the year to go to Anguilla definitely is August! Renting a car is a must in my opinion, and the rates are totally OK. Can't wait to your next video - keep it up please!!

@freddy183144 күн бұрын

I like this video review, I follow another couple that visit the all inclusive but the part that I feel is always missing is what is to do at night in the hotels, I understand some have theatre, night clubs and casinos but none is ever show case, is like dinner and the video cut to the next morning.

Tikka masala is considered a lighter medium spiced dish compared to other popular indian curries here. A fahl or phall curry is the hottest kind of curry you can get, it originated in Birmingham, created also by Bangladeshi chefs for the UK market. Supposedly when a brit said once to the chef that he thought curry was supposed to be hot he made this for the troublesome customer, it is typically made with habanero, scotch bonnet and more recently carolina reaper peppers with a tomato and ginger sauce. It is designed predominantly to be a badge of honour eating challenge but there are other more reasonable curries that while still being very hot by anyones standards are actually very popular here as a preferred meal like the Jalfrezi, Dopiaza, Madras and the very famous Vindaloo. Being such a melting pot of different cultures we have many other spicy foods that you really should try if or when you visit again especially Caribbean foods like jerk chicken, curried goat, Jamaican patties, grilled jerk fish. You will also find many African dishes that tend to air on the more aromatic side but there are some absolutely belting uses of spice in much of their cuisine. Loved the video, going to check a few more out, happy travels you two.
