All of your videos are excellent and inspiring. I really like the concept of daily movement. It seems like the term overtraining is thrown around too often in the fitness industry. Zen, I would like to gain some muscle and am wondering if hypertrophy is attainable with daily micro playouts... thank you for all you do
@zenkahuna
@zenkahuna 2 күн бұрын
Thanks for you comment and question. To be clear I do not do micro playouts exclusively. My initial early morning movement practices are somewhere between 30 to 90 minutes...averaging around 45-50 minutes. Then several additional movement snacks (micro playouts) throughout the day. Naturally the daily movement practices vary between heavy, medium, light, active recovery days, and so forth. With regard to gaining muscle I would have to see you, consider your age, weight, movement background and evaluate your current fitness levels to give an accurate answer. I will say that I recommend that you focus on increasing strength and stamina, while following an optimal high micro-nutrient eating style. ZK

You are correct, I didn't mean to suggest that it was limited to micro workouts. I appreciate your answer and I will follow your suggestions and practice daily movement. Thank you so much

No question about both variations being more challenging that regular KB Press. At first it is best to focus just doing the Horn Clean and the Bottom Up Clean to familiarize yourself with the different positioning from regular KB Cleans. Then Progress to the Press. ZK

@zenkahuna
@zenkahuna 22 күн бұрын
Hey Mike! The Vivobarefoot Gobi IV desert boots are the latest version. I still have a pair of the Gobi II size 9 that I have been wearing for 7 years. I also have a newer pair of the Gobi III that I got in size 10 so that I can wear socks when I feel like it. Normally I wear a size 9.5 but the Gobi only come in full sizes. They have a way of measuring your foot that is helpful for getting the right size. The Gobi IV cost $185. They also come with a 100 test trial. That means you can wear 'em for 100 days and return 'em if they don't work for you. Personally I remove the thin cork insole because I don't need it and I actually prefer how they fit without it. But that is a personal choice for you to make. My Gobi II just had a little restitching done (not bad after 7 years). They feel good right out of the box but even better as they age. If you have more questions you can massage me on Facebook at Rocannon MacGregor.
