it's insane why manufacturers keep pushing heavy, high CC bikes as adventure bikes. This seems to be a sweet spot. How did you find the quickshifter? Useful?

Needs a rear break lever on the left handle bar for DTC to compliment the foot break. Place the hand break on the frame somewhere else...

Excellent comprehensive review thank you. You’ve sold me. This thing is my 2025 target. Back to the future for me, as an ex 1000S owner (yes dumbest thing I ever did). Dicky hip no good on my beloved 900SS i.e these days. So time to explore roads less travelled once more 23 yrs after a RTW 15 month trip on a plodding NX650. Air cooled vee twins rock!

Everyone keeps talking about how there is no adjustment for bound and rebound on these new bikes, but that's the way it's always gonna be. They (the manufacturers) have to have somewhere to go for the next model year. Make the exact same bike year after year, then there isn't incentive to buy the new model, but put the first year out with no adjustments and then put some more adjustments in the next year and it's all of a sudden an "improved design". It's the same way with all of them. Until they have a complete redesign, they add all the minor features such as cruise, bound/rebound adjustments, higher end suspension, ABS switch, etc., all the stuff that could've easily ben added the very first year, comes one by one as the model years progress so there is always an improvement in the design. The best gen to buy of a bike like these is the final. They'll be the most kitted out. Buy the first year model of any new bike and you'll always be wishing you'd have gotten the latest every time the new year model rolls out. They could have all the bells and whistles on the first gen, but then they would have complaints about not coming out with anything new. As consumers, we kind of shoot ourselves in the foot by always wanting something new on the next one. Sorry, that was a longer rant than intended. If you read it all, thank you for your time.

I had the first generation of Tiger 900 Rally pro and I really enjoyed it as street bike but never felt confident when off road with it, the front was always "slipping" and never had trust with it. I finally sold it for that reason mainly. But overall the bike is beautiful, best bike for the money on the market, especially with the new 3 cylinders. Too bad the rake angle wasn't modified for more dirt

I appreciate the review of the KLR, but everybody misses the point...those of us who buy and like the "C" rated KLR...are "C" riders. We are not like most bike reviewers taking their BMW around the world, or doing anything extreme. The bikes and riders who can do that are another level. We don't ride Baja, we sometimes find a little beach, we don't do the road of bones, we find a farm path between work and home that we were curious about. To the average every day guy, it's an "A" bike. We all watch these reviews...but most worry about their doohickey while the bike stays parked in the garage waiting for a sunny day.

I've never owned an Adv bike. In fact, I've never even ridden one. But as a former HD bagger rider and 20 yr mountain biking enthusiast, I think this may be the bike for me. I just wanna put on a Camelbak and go ride the gravel fire roads and double track that's within easy reach of where I live. Excellent review and thanks for sharing!

Great review, just great. I have a 2021 RP and love it to bit's but there are some almost imperceptible bugbears. It sounds like the 2024 has addressed all of my concerns. I won't buy the '24 because the '21 is so good. I won't. I ..... Ah ****! I will.
