I find myself very surprised to be the fist commentor of this awesome video..at the risk of overstating the obvious, Miss Carmela Rapazzo is crushing it!

Man i hope i dont coment much. I got to say u truly did managed chaos. It did not erupt to chaotic mass, but a rather controled drone by many oparaters.

I was here ! A very Nola time that led it's way to a celebration of life and soulful 2nd line. Seeing the trumpet man doing back handspring with a youngin was awesome.

Great talk! I can't wait to read Ricky's book about young Louis. King Oliver's Creole Jazz Band and his Jazz Band are my favorite bands. It's a shame that so few of their recordings survive (about 37) and that so many others have been discarded, like "Someday Sweetheart," "That Sweet Something, Dear," "When You Leave Me Alone to Pine," "Junk Man Blues"... I hope that someday an old record or forgotten matrix will turn up with some of those recordings.

Just a side note...Shaye Cohn put this group together a few years back...she played trombone until the band got established then went back to Tuba Skinny.....She was replaced by the one and only Haruka Kikoshi a super talented musician in her right...........................

Shaye, I love how you effortlessly float between musical styles and play true to yourself, the style you are playing, and to the audience.

Great group Molly. And thanks for doing the verses of tunes! Bobby Short said the verse is the porch that welcomes you into the house.

Yeah Kevin Louis plays some righteous stuff - doesn’t have to scream to swing hard. Reminds me a bit of Sweets Edison. 👍
