Awesome! Having just bought a bass guitar and I was figuring this song out, I found this video! Awesome and very helpful! Are you a lefty or did you mirror this because you're smart? Because I found it very helpful to have a mirror image instead of watching a right-handed bassist playing this. And another question, why do you play (at the end) D7 D3 D8 and no G2 D3 G3? Newb question maybe...
@LindenPoirier6 ай бұрын
Thanks for reaching out, glad it's helped you! Yes, I am a real lefty, and the main reason I played it that way is for tonal consistency, since I like the way the D string sounds and feels more. I also like the way it looks more in video, but that's trivial. Both are perfectly fine ways of playing it and if you're still getting comfortable with the fretboard, the G2 D3 G3 way is definitely gonna be more consistent.

Never heard of this game before Linden, so i checked out some of the soundtrack, and oh boy are there some slap bass gems in there :D speaking of Japanese bands, i got some suggestions if you really want to play some challenging slap bass stuff :) MindSet by Gacharic spin, the bass in this one is insane kzbin.info/www/bejne/h56vYYlsa5yEsKs No God by Band-Maid got a pretty fun little slap part, the impressive thing is that Misa switches between playing with a pick to playing slap super fast kzbin.info/www/bejne/n32pZq2aZd6fbJY watch her hand closely during the bass solo part and Judgement Day by Lovebites Fami plays some cool double hand tapping stuff in the intro, and there's some slap and pop in the verses also :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2TYeJ2mYrVqeqs

Thanks dude! Funnily enough, I've heard about all three of these bands from the same guy (shoutout to S) and they rip! There's such an absurd number of super-talented Japanese bands-most notably, ones that are predominantly female. Will def think consider them when I get back to doing covers.
