None of this is true. The Tatars are an ethnic group created in the 13th century from the Golden horde of Batu Khan - 600 years after the creation of the First Bulgarian Tsardom on the Balkan peninsula.

Serb comes from the Roman word for labourer as Servant ,the name of Serbia up to 18th,19th c is Servia . This new made up state ,it does not exist in ancient times.

Ottomans suppressing ethnic bulgarian culture is an anachronistic view, a big portion of balkan peoples preferred ottoman rule to the roman catholic alternative as it offered considerably more freedoms. This of course changed after the age of enlightenment and national awakening of those peoples. To assume that bulgarian language and culture was only able to live on in distant monasteries etc. is wild but other than that great vid.

@@Gotse.Delchev.Reborn I said it is an anachronistic view and you prove my point just as well. From today's perspective of freedom of course it is a totalitarian nightmare. However, you can judge historical entities by comparing them to their counterparts in that period. Was medieval Hungary or Spain more advanced and "free" than Ottoman territories? No. Were the Greeks that were ruled by the venetian latins more lucky than the ones residing under ottoman rule? No. That's what I meant by comment. Hope you can understand what I mean, noone is denying the fact that ottomans repressed minorities from time to time and crushed rebellions with extreme brutality. All I'm saying is that was the norm at the time and they were preferable to other countries until early modern age. Have a good year in 2024!

@@cagatayaksu6549 Not true. Every country that was under Ottoman rule hates them - Serbia, Greece, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, etc. Ask yourself why? You have to live in a country that was under Ottoman rule to understand. Today's Turkey spews propaganda historical films and TV series erasing the atrocities of the Ottoman Empire in these countries.
