This looks like a great size stove, its what I was thinking abut using onboard a boat, with the intention of using in winter and removing it in summer, rather than having a full blown stove that isn't used in the summer

I notice you’re coming about humidity I would recommend buying it in war MVHR unit this is a very low energy system it stands for mechanical ventilation heat recovery. It extracts air from the tiny house and brings in fresh air from outside however it runs the two extremes three pipes which exchange the heat from the outgoing out with the cooler incoming air that’s warming it up there about 90 to 95% efficient so it’s amazing for keeping the building warm but removing stale moist air and bringing fresh air you can turn the heat exchanger element off in the summer so that you’re bringing in just cool air this will reduce your need for running the air-conditioning unit (assuming yeah temperature outside is cooler than inside😊 I hope that helps

Thank you for your video it is super helpful. The temperature gauges you have on the stove, do they have an alarm on them or do you have to visually check? Gets too hot what then? If you open the door does the fire eventually go out or do you need to put it out, Also the cleaning of the chimney how often is that required? I’ve never cleaned the chimney that will be another learning curve …..

I grew up in Gainesville. When I was little Devils Millhopper wasn't a state park. You could go and climb down the sides of the sinkhole to the bottom. People would bring pic-nics and spend the day there playing in the little water streams and searching for sharks teeth and arrow heads. The climb down could be treacherous. I remember having to hold on to natural vines to help lower yourself down.

Hot water attachment? Fill an old coffee pot with water and keep it on the stove. Hot fake potatoes, hot cocoa, hot mint tea, etc.

Heat fan. Once you circulate the air your home will warm up quite quickly. And when it's too cool the thing shuts off so no breeze.

A good tip is to put the mattress toppers into a duvet cover. You could also use the duvet cover for your bottom sheet as well, just put a sheet fabric duvet cover over the one that is over the mattress toppers so you could remove it regularly for washing. Know you've changed your bed set up, but tip for others. Hope your new set up worked well for you

Great advice from someone...Smokey glass is a result of your stove being burned too cold. An intense burn will burn off the soot from the window and clean out the creosote in your chimney. And the best part is it takes no work! Note that if you do have creosote building up in your chimney, a hot burn could ignite it and cause a chimney fire, which would possibly burn your RV down and at a minimum require you to replace your whole chimney. So clean it first, then do regular hot burns to keep it clean. Dry hardwood or fir will burn hot and clean. If you burn those artificial logs or softwood it burns too cold. A hot fire also burns everything to a fine ash that builds up much slower than if you have unburned coals mixed in with it.

You’d have to change trains but the ethan Allen express right out of Burlington goes to nyc much faster and then you’d have to take a second train to Philly

So, you ask is electric BETTER? I have been driving Leafs since they first came out. And wanted an electric car when you had to build your own. I never did. In years of electric driving, I have only been stuck once, just recently. I still see no need to carry around an ICE when fully electric works good for me, so no hybrids for me. So, is electric BETTER? For me in my opinion YES.

The winter condensation problem isn't just a tiny house problem. It's also a problem in highrise rental apartment where the sliding windows have lost their ability to insulate against the cold. I'm surprised that you are able to spend long durations at a standing desk. It can be just as harmful as sitting for long durations.

That's a beautiful scene that you're leaving, with the autumn colours and sunlight. Are there normally anchoring points on the wall for tying down appliances and furniture? Or is it normal to have to remove large appliances and furniture?

Putting the scamp on a flatbed to the renovation people in Jacksonville where they might remove the egg, sandblast the frame then repair (new metal where needed and welded in place) and repaint it, and finally replace the egg. Is this a feasible option?

You could improve the wood heat by bringing the combustion air into the stove from outside the building as with an airtight wood stove!

I would take the chance and take it slow to Jacksonville and let the weld or even rivet or screw an exoframe to the existing one and weld where the pieces meet. I did the front of my 16 works great. Work enev better if you can spring for aluminum. No more rust or corrosion

I wanted to find this video informative but have a few questions where I thought you were going to expand on. Re: maintenance, was hoping to hear what issues you’ve seen for this long-term review. You mention it’s more expensive, without context though it’s tricky to draw a conclusion from that. Also wondering what is the why behind not being able to stop off at a super-charger and charge the car for slightly Longer trips? I understand highway speeds deplete the range more, but is there some specific issue with driving 60-70 miles then stopping off to replenish the battery and continue driving? Or you trying to indicate it’s not worth it to you, to stop and charge along the way for longer trips? Appreciate the input, we’re considering purchasing a used one for mostly local-use 2nd car, but you’ve brought up some good points and some addl context would be helpful to me (and prob others ). Thanks!
