Ruger actually fixed this and remolded the bushing on the latest production BX-25 mags. The .22lr shells no longer fit in the bushings.

Holding the pistol with the clamp is a good idea. Your pistol does not have a clip, its a magazine. Thanks.

Yall, they fixed some of them apparently. Wish i could post a picture.. a 22 shell won't fit in my bx 25. It has a second ring of plastic inside as if the factory tweaked a mag already in their inventory. Ive also had no issues with this mag so far.

It's sprinkling so after getting tired of wet targets I decided I would come inside and do this to my BX-25s. Found the wood clothes pins I have are the right size to hold a 22 case with the correct size to fit inside the barrel as shown. Opened up my 4th magazine AND, the barrels inner hole is the correct size for the pin. The casting on my last 4 has been changed. SO, ya might be lucky, check first. Bought my first three back in 2019. These dudes I picked up sometimes later.

Chucking the spent .22 brass up in a cordless drill makes deburring both the ID and OD with sandpaper much easier. Great suggestion for a fix. Spraying Silicone on all contact surfaces also helps, just make sure to let it dry completely before reassembling.

What shells are you using? Cci aguilla many others are all too big

I still got jams on newer style that the 22lr case doesn't fit in. Ruger has started just making cheap stuff. My old hotlips mags don't have an issue and cost $15

Milk crate i have already with all my gear and i figure just add the dolly to the back and hook it to the crate and perfect!! So thank you! The plug that you took out tjat has tje loop on it in front of the seat. Do you know what they are for. I was thinking for towing, but it doesn't seem strong enough

I did this fix on my bx-25 mags, I also had a new clear bx-25 and it's fit was much tighter and this fix wouldn't work and wasn't needed.

Great information! May I suggest wrapping your bungee cord above the bolt as you suggest, which I believe will help it from slipping down and definitely not loose it. @ about 6min

Most of these 3d printed ones that are available for purchase are usually poorly printed. How many can be made with the least amount of filament to maximize profit. If I had the stl file, it would be printed at the correct plate orientation, with the strongest filament, and the correct number of wall layers. But, that is just me, for me.

I am a 63 year old bear sighted guy… the irony is… I paint my sights so I can see them better but they print instructions on a business card sized piece of paper… so I have to take a picture of the instructions with my phone then zoom it to max so I can read them…. I also use a UV based clear resin to cover the paint then hit it with a UV light and it form and extremely hard cover layer

They do not do an adaptor for the Tippmann but haveing tried both the tippmann loader is much better than the McFadden even if it is twice the price.
