I bought two of them my problem isn't that they're loose it's that the damn things too tight. I guess after a couple thousand shots it'll be broke in.

Perfect set up , i visual thought about this set up and kept seerching for a video that i was hoping to find and yours was it !!! Milk crate i have already with all my gear and i figure just add the dolly to the back and hook it to the crate and perfect!! So thank you! My order is on the way still but now i know its not to big or to small so it will work perfectly.

Great information! May I suggest wrapping your bungee cord above the bolt as you suggest, which I believe will help it from slipping down and definitely not loose it. @ about 6min

Most of these 3d printed ones that are available for purchase are usually poorly printed. How many can be made with the least amount of filament to maximize profit. If I had the stl file, it would be printed at the correct plate orientation, with the strongest filament, and the correct number of wall layers. But, that is just me, for me.

I am a 63 year old bear sighted guy… the irony is… I paint my sights so I can see them better but they print instructions on a business card sized piece of paper… so I have to take a picture of the instructions with my phone then zoom it to max so I can read them…. I also use a UV based clear resin to cover the paint then hit it with a UV light and it form and extremely hard cover layer

Had 1 feeding issue 1 time, was a bind up in the mag... cleaned the mag and seemed fixed. However after watching this I did the mod, seen no harm in prevention... 2 mags, ran 100 rounds each, cheap bulk ammo. 1 fail to fire... rest ran perfect in my 32 year old Ruger. Note to people having issues with cheap ammo: My Ruger years ago ate up cheap ammo no problem. Recently that changed, had to be premium ammo or all kinds of issues,, Change extractor... no fix For kicks I got a new charging handle with spring..... DAMN!!! like a new Ruger... eats anything.... Have a great day people, stay prepped!!

I used gorilla glue. Just don't forget to wet it...
@GarysOutdoors7 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! Thanks for that tip! 👍 Great idea. I see the Gorilla Glue instructions says it is 100% water proof once cured. My question is since it must be clamped, how do you clamp it? I can imagine one way is to set a weight on the transducer. I'd use a brick or something heavy. If one day the transducer goes bad, is it removable once glued in with Gorilla Glue? From what I've seen online, it can be quite the challenge. Apart from that, a great idea! Thanks! 👍

i had a heck of a time getting those last 4 bolts tightened. the wheel was in my way.
@GarysOutdoors7 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! If you have the wheel all the way to the bottom, the front mount raised up all the way, it gives you ample room to get in there and tighten the 4 screws. See starting at time mark 11:15. I made that same mistake myself during my first assembly while practicing for the video. 👍

Seeing the other comments about the Ruger 10/22 mags and the lips being at a different angle makes sense. It sucks but it makes sense. Do you know of any aftermarket mags that have a 10rd cap? I'm from Canada so all 10/22 mags have to be limited to 10rds... I've looked at Butler Creek and their mags are only 25rds and not pinned. Shooters Ridge and Black Dog only make 50's AFAIK, RamLine is a 15 and Eagle I can't seem to find any mags in production anymore. I just bought this and it looks and feels great, loads my BC-25/22 no issues but even with a modification to make the Ruger mags fit, the angle just isn't right...
@GarysOutdoors9 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! I'm not aware of any after market 10 rd mags on the market. Most people are looking for larger capacity mags, I did a quick search and didn't find any either. Just the factroy Ruger ones.

@@GarysOutdoors thanks for the quick reply! I found some BC ones that are pre-pinned. It's a shame though.

What happens if the tightening adjustment knob is on the right side instead of the left?
@GarysOutdoors9 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! I don't imagine if it will affect anything other than making windage adjustments with left or righ hand. I'm a righ handed shooter so I like that knob on the left. Left hand shooters can reverse that. Should work. 👍

.22 Shorts are virtually impossible to find in my area but something occurred to me. Assuming that this shim method actually works, then I would highly recommend using CCI nickel plated ones instead of typical brass. Here's why! The active ingredient in pretty much all gun cleaning fluids is Ammonia. Ammonia dissolves brass easily. So if you clean your BX25s with the same cleaners one uses on the gun, and who wouldn't, the shim isn't going to last long...
