Thanks for the review! Saw you posted this on a mutual Facebook group. I've driven past this place, but haven't had the time to stop by, next time for sure! If you liked Cane's sauce though, I hear Walmart has a dupe called Chicken Finger dipping sauce, and from what I've heard, they taste very similar to Cane's sauce if you ever make chicken tenders at home
@MarcusDETКүн бұрын
I love this place. Wish we had one in the metro Detroit area. Walmart has their own brand of chicken strip sauce that taste just like raising cane’s

Detroit! Have several friends from that area. I love Michigan, especially the U.P. Thanks for stopping by once again Marcus, I appreciate it!

The chicken nuggets looked very good. Unfortunately we don't have any locations in my area. Hopefully one day because the cole slaw looked excellent.
@justinjones63122 күн бұрын
I tried one in my city, colorado Springs CO, and I wasn't impressed. The first thing I didn't like was the smell. A flavorless smell of frying scent in the air. Try eating a tender plain without sauce. It's flavorless. I didn't care for the flavor of the coleslaw which was pretty bland, and the fries weren't salty. I don't remember my thoughts on the bread, I think I thought it was okay. The tenders are nothing without the sauce. I do want to try another location sometime. I was the guy who brought up the curder burger for Culver's. Glad you guys enjoyed those!

So, you want to show people something that you never done before?! You don’t even know what it will taste like?!
@SmokingBBQ2 күн бұрын
Yes. I want those who just got a PBC to see me cook something for the first time. This way people can see the various obstacles I encounter along the way. Makes it more relatable than a highly polished production video. I hope that makes sense. FYI this video has over 29K views! I appreciate you stopping by!

I love Monica's honesty. She said it like it is. The best of both worlds. I like to do this with tri tip. But I grill it right out of the sous vide bag to sear the outside
@SmokingBBQ5 күн бұрын
Yea she does, and it is why I love her! This would work perfectly with Tri Tip. Just need to stick to a low temp, as you have to be careful not to exceed the sous vide temp. Thanks for coming by Patriot!

Hello Erik and I gotta say I am speechless! That is a good take on some potatoes and pulled pork! I’m definitely gonna have to try that because I just made a mess of pulled pork the other week. I froze some of it. Now I know what I’m gonna do with it. I was just thinking, another thing you could do is mix the pulled pork into the potato that you scooped out, and then put them back in the empty potato skin and top with the melted cheese. Bring the onion and bacon out and put it on top of the loaded potatoes while the cheese is soft. I’m gonna definitely do a video on this and I’ll make sure and give you a shout out! Thanks so much for sharing and cheers from Dave😊✌️

Looks awsome Bud. I know they say to poke holes but has anyone actually witnessed a Potato explode? I've baked more potatoes then I can count and never poke them. Slather in olive oil then role in kosher salt. Makes the skins so good to eat afterwards

I had a potato explode on me one time, blew the roof right off of my house! No, I’m just kidding, but I have seen an egg explode in a microwave! Lol!

May I suggest that you add mustard to this soup? Mustard will add some color and flavor. Add a little and then taste. You will be very surprised how the soup will improve.

Hey Erik, at that low temp, why not glaze the ribs from the start? Any sugars won’t burn. Let the glaze get smokey and also keep the outside moist.

Special request: sous vide bbq hybrid cook with brisket please!!
@SmokingBBQ15 күн бұрын
Great question! My goal is to get the cold ribs to absorb some smoke, and for the meat to dry out a bit to form a bark. Putting sauce on in the beginning would hinder both of those objectives. Also adding sauce at the beginning masks the flavor of the meat a bit too much, in my opinion. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it!
@SmokingBBQ15 күн бұрын
I did that many years ago, and I definitely need to try it again, as it came out great! kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2HbpqSoobSmjZYsi=Tyn9J6LEQlHx3AXc

I am worried you cooked them over 140. meat stops takeing smoke at 140. but they llooked good.
@SmokingBBQ15 күн бұрын
There is no problem if I smoke them over 140. The problem happens when the smoker heats the ribs over the Sous Vide temperature, which was 155 degrees. I am only trying to add some smoke and have a bark to form. Thanks for stopping by Scotty, I appreciate it!

I haven't used mine in a long time because its to easy and (cheaper) to buy one. But they really do work. And the best part you can flavor it the way you like it at home I like to put thin slices of lemon and a little fresh rosemary under the breast skin. Then season and cook just like you did. No heat rotation to let it rest after cooking for sure. The browner the skin the better for me. SO GOOD.

We like all of the spice in the beef one, but one time, I added a second jar of peppers. And, it was too spicy, but not really spicy -- more acidic and very caustic. Not eatable. It was wasted. One full jar of peppers and juice is fine with the beef one (if you just have the mild peppericini's). But, two jars is what I did, and it didn't even seem like the same recipe -- more like battery acid.
