What is insane is how does Stella drive a 911 Carrera targa top? She clearly doesn’t need shrimp hammer exec guy.

@ThatguyPanda86 eh, it's no big deal. I try to reply as often as I can. maybe it'll get to the point where I can't keep up one day so all the more reason for me to take advantage and enjoy being able to reply to most comments now. Plus, absolutely rose street and its ridiculousness holds a special place in my heart. I always like to see what people think about it after they learn about it. I wish companies still did this kind of stuff today.

Mario Kart was my favorite pass time with my dad. We played years of Mario Kart on the SNES, N64, and NGC. Really wanted to play Mario Kart on the Wii with him but didn't get the opportunity because of being too busy in our lives with other things at the time. Sadly my dad passed away in 2019 from cancer. I love my dad and miss him very very much.😩😔😞😭

I wish Nintendo would offer this service again. I wouldn't mind paying reasonable prices or even a retro service with leaderboards and community based features, like game of the week, or individual game challenges the community could play at the same time and bring back some fun stuff like pictochat.

Wow I never knew about this as a kid back then. But I had a SNES anyway and was loving it. I only liked a few Sega Genesis games as a kid and that was the Sonic series and Jurassic Park. Didn't know about the Golden Axe series until I was a teen but I loved that too as well as Shining Force. I thought most of Sega's games sucked compared to SNES. The only time I was really interested in a Sega console was when the Dreamcast came out. I had mine for barely a year and they stopped making games for it, I was so mad.

10 member dev team. I miss these days. I am sick of 1000 member teams taking 6 years to put out a game. I'd settle for worse graphics and a smaller scale if it meant we got high quality, fun games more frequently

I always felt like using Star Fox as the flagship game was a mistake. You're forced to continuously move forward. No turning or looking around. Mode 7 could've done that. Another game was Vortex and starting at the 2nd level you had non-linear exploration of a 3D space. THAT would've been a better game to promote if they fleshed it out a little more.

Pretty cool such flash card fron nintendo, but it’s sad there was no N64,gbc,gba or nes cartride of it because they could,ve sold economically more games that way as well. Eventrough there was the famicom disk system version of it the flashible disk, So consider those services as the precursor of the eshop service.

This was probably the N64 game me and my siblings played the most on the N64. The amazing thing about the game was the sheer volume of content. Single player campaign, arena challenges, multiplayer, custom arena battles. I've never found a shooter that I've enjoyed that much. Other than the framerate, the game was better than Goldeneye in almost every sense.

AKSHUALLY I think you might be pronouncing "Thracia" wrong. The kana read "to-ra-ki-a," and that's pretty much what people who live in real-world Thrace call their homeland.

Mystery solved! I saw this in a random store in China Town in Toronto Canada back in the 90's but it had been modified to work with North American SNES carts. I had no idea what it was, as I'm sure they were essentially bootleggers for the games & I'd gone in to buy some Dragonball Z trading cards at the time & found it odd they didn't have actual games for sale but had this machine which clearly fit SNES carts.

You think Nintendo 64 not doing well in Japan was another reason for this flash cart for the SFC? A way to keep generating sales in Japan? They were trying to compete with the second hand game sales by offering lots of titles via flash cart. Genres like Horse Racing dropped to only 2 titles for the 64 but there were 35 for the SFC. Fishing had 22 titles for the SFC but only 6 for the Nintendo 64.

Yahel!! Always stoked to see you pop up in my feed. I had a brief amount of knowledge on this topic before but it’s always interesting to get more of a deep dive on such an obscure item. It would be super rad to come across these carts in the wild and see what games people kept on them over time and if there are any ROMs that maybe only exist because of them. Looking forward to more of your content brother.

It sounds like this service definitely had some issues, but I'm impressed that they got it to work reasonably well for a handful of years. The late 90s were a completely different era of technology and creating essentially a proto-eShop using physical flash carts is really cool stuff for the time. Thanks for the video, I hadn't heard of this at all and it was a really interesting watch.

Unlike Nintendo Power, the FDS Disk Writer service didn't require bespoke media since all FDS disks were rewritable. This has resulted in some people buying used FDS disks and finding out the game on the disk wasn't the one on the label!

Storage capacity in these cartridges is some kind of a joke. Some games used almost all memory, witch is not that economy. I'll rather buy full release like Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 with box and manual.
