I want this to fly with my daughters as well. I think people forget that not everyone wants a drone for making amazing video content. Some want one just to fly around having fun. There are soooo many options from DJI that offer amazing footage, great flying capabilities etc. this serves a different market. I think it probably was meant just as a toy, a bit of fun, easy to use. There’s nothing wrong with that! If you want better, buy a mini 4 pro or literally any of their other drones.

Nobody has mentioned that it’s actually a preorder and not yet released for people who wouldn’t have one supplied by DJI. I wouldn’t mind the wait but I thought it was weird they dropped it in the app as if it was shipping immediately. Only after it was ordered it stated the item won’t be released in the US until October. Just a shame no one who actually would be paying dji won’t have this product for a while…

neo is very good , and im happy that they give you so many features i hope they keep up the good work! The DJI fpv is truly the best. let me explain. first it has a class 6 wind resistance , the only one in there lineup that can handle wind speeds over 35mph. it is the only 6s drone so it is very powerful. like the neo it has many flight modes and ways to control. the light show, it has led light strip stock that make it the coolest drone they make and look awesome in low light. it has a auxiliary light that you can use at night for search . we found my friend keys in a pitch black football field. over 90 mph what drone is faster? and a 18 min flight time ! what drone make you feel like superman?

I think you just opened up a can of worms. I would not say it is the best drone dji has made. The Neo is totally capable of having the capability of working with the goggles and controller 2, just like the avata 2. So until dji activates that function the Neo is NOT the best drone dji has made. For that matter they should also activate the capability to work with the dji rc since it also works with the rc2.

This is a GATEWAY DRONE folks. Sit your little ones down and explain the draw, the away from it's influence. For me, it saves my new Avata 2 from the unavoidable beating it would get as I I learn Manual/Acro FPV. 135 Grams is such low mass that Neo survives where other's do not. DC Rainmaker does a LOT of tracking on a Road Bike, and DOZENS of crashes have not put the KO on NE-O. Care Refresh at a whopping $22 a year is less than the lunch tab.

I agree. I bought the mini 3 pro with DJI RC and of course DJI RC is not compatible. If course less than a year later they come out with mini 4 pro for the same price with many improvements including new controller, new batteries etc. This makes the mini 3 pro impossible to sell without a major loss in value.

How are they profit mongers when all this was your own decisions? Nobody forced you. Imagine buying the previous phantoms drones for thousands to then cry about foldable Mavics coming out that are faster with better cameras and twice the flight time. What you fail to realise is this cheap ass drone is possible because the Hover X1 forced DJI to step in to compete. It’s a matter of survival that DJI did this, especially with US ban attempts! Drones are heading towards autonomous controls with hand gestures, voice commands and other futuristic stuff. In the next 5 to 10 years, big ass RC controls would be dinosaurs tech. Ai is the future, If Hover X1 and other companies move ahead, DJI will die like Nokia or BlackBerry that once dominated the market. Selling this drone at $199 and giving it the features it has, ensures that DJI kills anyone thinking of stepping up to them. It’s also an attention grab strategy, everyone will remember how this little drone did it all. This drone will win the hearts and minds of kids and adults, all genders and all skill levels - a smart means to fend of the US bill to ban DJI (basically, Win the people with mass adoption and you win over the government!). Chinese play chess, while everyone else place checkers! DJI has also stolen the Hover X1 spotlight. All in all It’s a genius move, not just greed. Instead of being stubborn, doing the same thing over and over again and releasing pricey drones, DJI has evolved in a matter of months, not years. I can bet you, they are not making a tone of Money per unit from the Neo compared to other drones. They’ll only make tonnes of money if it sells in the hundreds of thousands or millions, which seems likely given accessible features! Anyone can fly it! Shitty camera, wind resistant and battery life though but the average person don’t care!

While I was annoyed that my controller wont work with this drone, I would be nice if DJI, at the very least, made the new controllers backwards compatible. Given all that they are capable of, this should be fairly easy to do, and not lose customers who can't afford a whole new setup. Nikon has done this with all their cameras, where even if you have the latest fancy mirrorless camera, you can still use vintage lenses from forty years ago. I would be willing to buy a new controller as long as I can still use it on my current drone, then I could at least recover some of my money by selling my old controller, albeit for substantially less.

After watching at least 20 videos of this drone I lost interest in it. Why?… for now it seems to have too many bugs and other issues that don’t add up to being worth $200. This drone should be selling at $100 and no more than $150. I would think obstacle, avoidance would have been very important with a drone this size and weight. Sure it can survive crashes but what a pain always having to keep looking back to see where it is or go find it laying on the ground or tree. DJI makes the best drones in my opinion for the majority of us so I have faith through software updates and the addition of obstacle, avoidance on the next model will be worth the wait.

FYI when youre using the RC-N3 theres an option to adjust the colorgrade like sharpness. Also just to remind you, its not a professional drone, its a vlogger drone. So its good enough for daily or travel vlogging. Considering its 4k, its good enough for the price range!

No this drone is Ocusync 4 and uses the RC2, While the Mini Pro 3 has the RC controller. These are the compatibles remotes DJI RC 2, DJI RC-N3 Remote Controller, DJI RC-N2 Remote Controller, DJI RC Motion 3, and DJI FPV Remote Controller 3.

No, only the newer RC2 with screen included with the Air 3 & Mini 4 Pro. The RC2 is an O4 remote like the Neo. The RC included with the Mini 3 Pro is an O3 remote.

Shame that DJI is gonna be banned! The US want to ban DJI drones due to political issues. If that is gonna happen...... more countries follow. So i will go for the hoverair X 1pro max. Yes...more expensive but legal.

This isn’t true. If the ban comes in, it only stops DJI from registering NEW drones with the FCC. Existing drones won’t be banned.

the app only does portrait if you use the phone only to fly. if you get the fly more combo with the controller it will rotate. i have a fold 5 and 3d printed a tablet adapter and it works perfect
