I spent my first session (5 days) on chemo, and it took about a week and a half before I started noticing my hair falling out. It’s unfortunate for the ladies.

Great to hear your experience! My wife (Amanda- 37) is going through her first chemo round now. She is on day 15 and is doing well. She is her2 also and is experiencing the bad stomach issues(I think it's the perjeta that is causing it). How are you now and has your stomach returned to normal? Also is there anything else you would add to this after another year has past?

I just finished chemo 4 weeks ago. I really didn’t have the mood swings during chemo.Hopefully that doesn’t develop after 🤞. No neuropathy either. I did DEFINITELY have “chemo brain” during chemo. And I did go into early menopause; hot flashes and night sweats. They seem a little less since chemo ended, like not as frequent. But I do still have them. My BC is being treated differently than yours as I had 5 months (16 rounds of chemo) first and I am having my mastectomy and reconstruction surgery in 10 days! I can NOT wait!

Thank you for sharing! I am 4 weeks post chemo tomorrow. My hair started growing back about 3 weeks before my last chemo... lucky me. It is definitely picking up now, but still thin and gray 🤪.

Hey there Warrior!! I finished my chemo back in 2016, however, my hair grows really thin, pretty much like a baby that just born yesterday or a very old man. I have no idea what to do more. i have been taking vitamins like biotin, eat proper food, lots of veggies, fruits, good shampoos and i can't even make a hair transplant because i don't have enough hair. No matter how big is it, i always look bald, like you can count the follicles. Any advice? <3

I just finished my first round of chemo. Breast cancer also. DCIS and invasive ductal carcinoma that spread to my nipple. Had a lumpectomy nipple removed and 5 lymph modes removed. All nodes were negative but then found out my onchotype score was a 40.....anything over 26 gets chemo. So taxotere and cytoxan were chosen. So far that 1st one kicked my ass for sure. Had to give myself udencya shot. Did ok with that but I religiously took the claritin and it helped tremendously with bone pain. I hardly had any. Took zofran also round the clock and that kept the nausea away. Had diarrhea at first now I am constipated oh and I also had the bad stomach pains for about 3 days. Nit sure what caused that. Thanks for sharing your story. It's nice to know there are ppl out there who understand what I am going through. I wish u the best and good luck!!!

Just watched this. I went through chemo for bladder cancer and I have the same constantly annoyed feeling. Almost like I hope for someone to annoy me. Really bad temper and mood swings and I don’t believe in male menopause.

I'm insanely jealous. I'm waiting patiently for the adult daughter I found on Facebook to deem me worthy of contact. Just like I never expected to find her to begin with, I don't expect her to respond to my attempts at connection any time soon. Still, stranger things have happened...

Had chemo 5 weeks ago and wasnt able to go through menopause exactly find a way to cope.... Ya always have in the back of ya mind it will return.eat what ya can stomach.

One woman on You Tube had 2 different surgeries for her reconstruction implants. Thinking about getting a third because she doesn't like the way they look. D-flap is serious surgery.

I will have my double mastectomy in mid-August with no reconstruction. I respect you so much.

So beautiful. I was told my hair would start growing 6 months after chemo ended. Ha! My chemo ends 7/13 so I will have a little hair by Christmas. Yea! I liked they way you showed the progression over the months. Very helpful and hopeful for me.

Your story is important. I just finished 4 A/C and now I have 4 Taxols. My experience was like yours but no nausea or bone pain with A/C. The steroids got to me mentally though. God bless you.

On my second round of chemo. Losing my hair has been the hardest part.

I was crying like a baby 👶 when my bf shaved my hair .. I’m on my 5th of 6th round of chemo I can’t wait until it’s over .. I miss my hair and how I use to look .. my face looks fat from chemo

On the second one that's how much hair comes out my hair brush every week and I dont have chemo

My mom is losing her hair from chemotherapy and she’s really sad I feel really bad for her. Idk what to do for her

I wasn’t prescribed pills after chemo. I was on herceptin for a year. It started the day of my first chemo, and had my last treatment last week. Yay! Why were you prescribed pills? My next step is a bone scan, CT scan and echo cardiogram (because the herceptin affects the heart). My oncologist said the cancer cells like to go to the bones and that is the reason why I will be getting the bone scan. I have started working out. My last chemo was on 5-16-19

Wow! Sounds like my story and around the same time I was diagnosed. I had surgery on November 26, 2019 and my pathology report also showed my cancer had spread to one lymph node. So I also went from DCIS to stage 2, and the same type of cancer as you. I am now 9 months post chemo. You are a strong woman, and I hoe you are doing well.
