Where can I source those red block thingys that you use to hold the playfield up when it’s pulled out a few inches?? I could really use a couple of those!!

I love that game it is the only 8 ball I really liked. I used to own the Bally 8 ball with Fonzi on it but I really did not like that 8 ball. I called it the drain game, because the ball drained so much.

A good trick for getting glue down into a crack is use a piece of paper or a business card if the crack is big enough. It works great ! Also the wooden sticks people use to make skewers and kabobs work perfect for the screw and other holes on playfields . They fit nice and snug . That playfield shined up pretty nice considering where you started with it , great job 👍🏼

I don't actually remember exactly what I did on that point. But most likely I grabbed the metal guide and bent it a bit more or less (left or right) so as not to hit SDTM. I had that issue real bad on my GNR JJP out of the box and tweaked that scoop just a bit to fix a similar issue.

We just inherited this machine and have some questions: How does the machine retain memory after taking out the batteries? Why not just put some new AA batteries in it?
@ETPinballАй бұрын
You can replace the batteries, but someone will ultimately forget about them and they will leak all over and ruin the boards. Replacing them with batteries located off the board or swapping out the RAM with NVRAM is a much better option.

Should have titled the video "Ever have one of those days?" Batting 1000 the whole way through it seemed. And I agree with Jesse, I'm glad you put the original on it. It is the way I remember playing it and sometimes extra doodads detract from the experience when they are so in your face like those flashers were. By the way if you haven't looked it up, "SC Time Test" is a measure of how well the Super Charger is working. It runs a ball through continually and gives you a number result for each circuit. It can tell you if one of the opto sensors is not working which results in one of the coils not firing when it should. Leebo has a pretty good video about it here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2K5qp93hsSmpa8

I have a JJP Guns LE and I bought it lightly used and replaced both spotlight assemblies (all servos were burned out, one literally melted through the plastic) with factory ones from JJP and after a few months the replacement left spotlight housing broke so I bought the same aftermarket housings you did on eBay that are printed and so far it has held up great.

I replaced the servos with higher quality after market ones. The originals were kind of crappy, as were the housings.

How much evaporust do you need to be able to entirely cover the legs. Do you put it in like a tote? Also evaporust is reusable correct?
@JesselovespinballАй бұрын
Yes you can re-use the evaporust as much as you want . After a while it gets pretty dirty and doesn’t work as well so it will have to be replaced . Usually you want to get a container the shape of what you’re trying to dip so you can use less . For legs maybe like a long flower box that you would put on a window ledge . Just a thought.
@ETPinballАй бұрын
I have a section of 3" PVC pipe with a cap glued to one end placed vertically (another cap not glued to cover the top so it doesn't evaporate). A gallon of evaporust will over the legs, but only two will fit at a time. I probably get about 20 or 30 legs cleaned per gallon, so around ~$1 per leg to clean in evaporust.

This is why we find these games with a bunch of questionable repairs in them . When operators had to fix these in the field they had to get creative with their fixes and sometimes they just never got them back to the shop to fix them properly. I’ve seen some very colorful repairs over the years 😂. Well done , especially doing this with customers everywhere and hardly any light!
