The reasons why people are moving to Cambodia is are because of the followings: 1. Affordability: food, accommodation & transportation and everything is available . 2. Culture: rich, ancient and unique 3. People: friendliness, kindness, politeness and respect for foreigners and elderly 4. Visa & regulations: the world easiest, just go to agent and you get things done. 5. Landscape: Angkor Wat $ other 8000+ temples - to Phnom Penh (bustling capital city, and Sihanouk Ville), beaches (pristine and white af) to laid back town (Kampot, Kep & Battambang) to natural landscape in the northeast. 6. Integration: Cambodia is one of easiest to integrate or blend into. 7. Languages: Everyone speak basic/communicative English. People also speak Chinese. National language is Khmer. 8. Business & Growth: Cambodia is one of the world fastest growing economies, and it is very easy to start a business. 9. Cheap Labor: you actually can have a house maid for just $250 monthly.

I personally know of people who are very wealthy who have property or live in Malta. It's disappointing these people dont care to invest in better garbage disposal situation. Maybe they want to, but the government doesn't? The construction and traffic both turn me off but i can deal with it but the garbage is just terrible, it really sheds a bad light on Maltas priorities

Hello and thank you for the video and hard work. I'm a American and a early / young retiree living in Southeast Asia / Việt Nam and I'm also married to a local Vietnamese woman. I officially retired at 46yrs and I'm now 52yrs of age with a $5259.00 monthly pension that increases yearly, I've been doing much research about retiring in Europe in country's such as Hungary, France, Croatia, Slovenia, Portugal, Albania, Greece, Malta etc, but the biggest problem I face is finding a European country with very low income tax to zero taxes on my pension / income. I also don't want to make a huge financial commitment of buy property right away just to get residency and will rather rent for a few years first to see if living in that country is worth the investment outside of my daily / monthly expenses. The other problem is would I be able to get a long term visa / temporary or permanent residency for my Vietnamese wife since she'll be coming from Vietnam, to any of the European countries I've listed in my comment as well as which country will be easier if so. The reason why I ask it's because, I know it's very hard for vietnamese to travel abroad or get a visa to live in Europe or America, but since I'm her husband and sponsor I'm wondering if it will be possibly easier or doable without going back to America to establish her American residency there. Thank you and I await your feedback and reply

GDP is the wrong measure for comparing the wealth of nations. The average Serbian lives a similar life to the average Briton. While in Britain people drive newer cars and take more foreign holidays, they do so on credit. The average Serbian family had very little debt. The average Briton has thousands of pounds of debt, some have tens of thousands of pounds of debt. A very large minority of Britons cannot live on their salaries alone, they use their credit cards every month just to survive. If you look at GDP figures, the West looks far richer than the rest of the world. If however you dig a bit deeper, things are not so clear.

I was living in Dubai as digital nomad for one year. But this country is not good for digital nomad. Living cost is very high than south asia, food is also expensive, weather is too hot (50-60' degree), too much traffic on road and city is ranked no 1 in pollution.

@traveleconomics

No, most citizens even with a job offer need to apply from outside Germany for a work permit/residence visa. There are a few exceptions to this (some nationalities, but not in the Caribbean).

I'm 56, had to take early retirement from work and my pension in Cambodia would be $835 a month currently- I cannot find a clear, unambiguous amount you need to obtain retirement residency? If this isn't enough could I just get a rolling 12 month tourist one if I wanted to say over-winter there for 6 months at a time each year? Is there a limit to the times you can apply in a certain period etc?? (Trapped on prison island UK as it sinks...)
@traveleconomics
@traveleconomics 28 күн бұрын
@BarrioBarranco1 you can do it, there is no minimum amount, you can just renew a business and or tourist visa, but with 835 you can survive but it will be tight, especially if you are flying back go the UK every year. Good luck in your journey

Yields are very high. It is not easy to find tenants, there are many flats sitting empty, but it is not impossible either if the flat looks decent. The laws are ok, it is certainly nothing like California.

Yes, please come here, Hungarians are all leaving as the country has become the literal butthole of the EU. But we are always very happy to welcome yet another well-off Western-European who will easily buy an estate we cannot afford from our ridiculous salaries😊 You may also want to consider becoming a Russian oligarch or a Serbian maffia member - it makes earning Hungarian citizenship significantly easier.😊

hello, so I'm Slovenian. So the hardest thing is to find a job for a simple reason. you need to speak at least 2 or 3 languages + SLOVEnija Langue ( English, Italy, German, Croatian ), and if you know any more languages it's only + point for you to get a fast Job. You better start Learning Slovenija Langue it's the hardest one you will meet out there. you won't talk it 100% Perfect its ok. We love to learn as much as we can and if you are the same it is a great place, and if you agree the Country takes you 25% of your income (check, pay Monthly) and you dont have a problem with it it's the perfect country 4 you. and there is a big number plainclothes police officers (under cover) so its good to know Slovenian Langue to Learn the Law, because you may think there is no Police watching you but they are Everywhere They just throw a badge in your face if you're doing something that's not by OUR Law. i dont wish to see anyone go to a new country and do something in public and go (behind bars). This country is to Beautiful for you to spend your time (Behind Bars) they are watching you all the time. I'm telling you this from first hand and it dont bathers me I like it this way! 😉🙃
