Always looking for a field watch with a date (and day) functionality. IDK about you, but it just makes sense to me that during the Fog of War when knowing what day or the week or day of the month it is can easily slip your mind when you're trying not to die that that information could easily be contained in a wrist watch. Weak water resistance also doesn't make sense. You're warring outside, crossing streams, getting rained on, covered in blood, etc., why isn't it a screw down crown?

Very cool looking watch. There are some Seiko vibes in there, like the hidden crown and the shape of the day/date window and that black and white contrast within that window is a cool touch. I really like the colour of the dial. Can anyone explain to me whether this is a real thing, sapphire coated mineral crystal? If it had sapphire, it would be a contender for me.

I just recently started watching documentaries about SOG operations and operatives in Vietnam. Fascinating! This brand grabbed my attention lately with their D-Day limited editions, especially the one with the dial made of the door of a C-47 (we call it here “Dakota”) that dropped paratroopers on that day.

Great story as you suggested. They've done an excellent looking watch too, especially that dual colour day/date. I agree with your cons but do think the cost is fair. I would add that 5 ATM water resistance is a poor choice. They should have gone for higher. Top review 👌 👏

You get what you pay for. It's a working tourbillon at a price lower than most of those shitty Hamilton chronographs with those ungodly thick and fragile movements.

The design is good but dislike the brand name and its font on the top. It rhymes with "age loser"

GOOD MORNING VIETNAM!!!! I have seen a few documentaries regarding Vietnam and the absolute hell they went through. Jungle operations seems awful. I think this is a cool take on a classic Seiko. This seems clean and would make an awesome daily or GADA watch! I agree with you on the crystal and crown, although I have Citizen watches with similar crowns that are a bit of a hassle but you get used to it. For the price, it should be an automatic or at least a smooth sweep quartz. It should also have an option for removable spring bars. Who wants to wear a sweat drenched smelly nylon NATO strap?

Question: Why does the main seconds hand stops at 12 every while and u have to start it again using the top crown? is it intended like this or its a flaw?

Totally onboard with your statement, about "attaching your own memories" - I had the same thoughts, when I bought my G10 4 - 5 years ago. Its a cracking watch, that means a lot to me. I have worn it through some really testing times in life(2 strokes within one year, when I was 52) , and its a watch that will always mean a lot to me. Great review, you have a new subscriber!

Back when I was in the RAF for a short time. They had boxes of used G10s with no battery, I did snag some but I allways thought it was just a metal swatch and not many people would wear them, mostly casios and whatever. I have a special shitter as in my first adult watch for middle school. It's an avia marina (ironicaly it was endorsed by the RAF) simple 316 (feid swimmer) as in no rotating bezel , hardlex and a miyota date quartz with a 10 year battery life. It was used hard. As in the crystal is so scratched it's hard to tell the time, but it has male end links and it's too tight so maybe a new clasp and sapphire crystal, my first big boy watch was a Tissot field/dress that I loved but it was lost in luggage. Also when my dad died someone took his GMT master from the 50s. I still have a few other watches from him but it was a rare watch with the original Bakelite bezel...... Any item can have alot of value from the memory's you make with it but CWC must be smoking crack at that price.... I understand why they went with the G10 as less than 40 years before it came out it was very hard getting movements and watches from Switzerland. Some militarys will order commemorative watches but I don't think any has a standard issue. I do have a north Korean quartz watch (pretty sure it's made in China or at least the movement and battery) it looks like a military watch but I'm not sure.(Not a good watch but NK wants cheap stuff that kind of works and looks like it's from NK) Most wear casios but now since watches with sapphire, ceramic. Quality but low cost Japanese auto movements I do see people wearing them more also higher end stuff as watches have become hot.

The one thing I don't like about the Casio version is the fact I couldn't care less about world time, and that watch makes world time the main feature. So there's no chance of me getting a Royale. Having the day in larger font there is much more attractive to me

Ive been wearing this for little over a yr now and i love it. Only problem is got very tiny scratch because Seiko has to use "hardlex" crystal 🔮🙄

I own the “old clock”, and I adore that blue patterned dial. Since I bought it, I always had a thought of “maybe I should have bought the ‘mojito’? Yet my reasoning was and is that owning the Sarb017 fills the rubric of green and gold colours.

I have one in black with a white dial. Use it even when washing commercial dishes in 160° water. Crazy amount of compliments for a $20 Casio. 🎉

Sometimes these type of watches are called homage; other times they are called copies. At any rate, this is a nice looking "Tudor' inspired watch for a fraction of a Tudor price. I like Militado watches and might even buy this one.

I've got the orange its ok but just that dimensions are good bezel is not bracelet is cheap but watch head is ok i will be flipping it but im glad i got it to see on my wrist

Do not buy from Agelocer!!! I ordered a watch but the same day I requested to cancel it because I wanted to get another of watch from them instead. They agreed to cancel the order and refund me. Except that they never refunded me, stopped responding to my email and never sent the original order!!!! They kept my money!!!

It’s a beautiful dial seemingly reduced by poor strap and lack of sapphire, shame it’s such a scratch magnet and the finishing doesn’t meet the quality of the dial. A mixed bag, great work boss.

What a beautiful shade of green! I think this is the prettiest version between those available! Seiko really know how to make a great dial! Wow you are right! I never knew that about the hands. Brushed vs polished does make for a dynamic lighting effect! No love for the strap huh hahaha! Fair criticisms bro. It has strengths and weaknesses but overall a great watch. Value for money when new? I don't think so. Second hand it could be a great acquisition! Be blessed brother! God bless you and your family!

I never realized these were smaller than the regular cocktail time! I own the 'blue moon' and love it, although with its 40.5mm its at the upper limit of what this style of watch should reasonably be (for someone with a normal wrist size); 38.5 is probably a crowd pleaser. As you said on the video, the crystal on mine has indeed picked up a few small scratches, which is to be expected with a domed mineral. Btw I've heard that the crystal on these is glued, so not easy to replace when it inevitably does become scratched. I have mine on the steel bracelet - perfectly suited for everyday wear, not just dressy occasions imho!
