Miyota seem to be on a roll with this movement in 2023. This is the fourth watch I've seen powered by that Miyota movement this summer. It's also the smallest, the most expensive, and the only one that doesn't come with sapphire crystal. The others are the Draken Aoraki, Vario 1945, and Primitive Haus Timekeeper Type A. I suppose the price difference comes down to the Japanese assembly.

This is a lovely little watch. The 6 o'clock small seconds complication is a very nice eye catcher. If I wanted one, I would go for the sapphire crystal by all means. A crystal with a dome like this is very going to scratch eventually. The only thing I don't really like is the shade of the leather strap.

Nice looking watch. I been to Kyoto and it's beautiful how it's surrounded by mountains with forest. It's full of history. It's modern in the center but village-like on the fringes of the city. And yes it's a city that's Japan's only inland city.

I like the vintage 1930's look! Cordovan leather is fancy! I dont mind the Miyota either... Its reliable and beautifully decorated. I think when considering the $400 price tag you have to consider that this is a company that hand assembles and manufactures their watches and that means they have to be made in Japan by skilled craftsman who have to be trained and sourced at a higher cost than people working in a factory in China. I therefore view this as both a piece of art and craftmanship and that makes it worth it! Have a great day Aviv!🙂

@@MyAffordableWatchCollection I prefer the black dial as it is a bit more versatile that the White/Cream dial. I am just not sophisticated enough to pull off a white dial haha! Forgot to mention but being left handed the crown at the 04h00 position doesn't bother me too haha!

I've been really liking the Kuoe and Baltany 1926 watches recently. If Indiana Jones wore a watch (besides the Hamilton in the new movie) I think he would wear watches in this style.

I own a different Kuoe watch and like it very much. This one is lovely, but my only concern with it is the polished hands and numerals, which tend to turn black and disappear at certain light angles. In 1 or 2 of the shots in this video there don't appear to be any hands or numerals at all. I think I'd like it better if the hands and numerals were frosted or brushed.

I like this brand but I find this piece a lil odd. It's like a dress field watch which feels a lil strange. It is really nice looking though. I also wish the sides were brushed.
