I had bowed legs when I was walking before 1, and wore a bar attached to my baby shoes. My legs continued to bow, and in 1968, Dr. Charles Herndon at University Hospitals of Cleveland. I wore braces for nearly 2 years, and my legs did straighten. However the right leg bowed out, and no one could determine how to take out the curvature, until Dr. Wilber at MetroHealth Medical Center in 1998 when I was 35. I was told that because of the curvature, I would eventually develop arthritis, and I did. A surgery to repair my ACL in 1992 after a fall failed due to the curvature in my right knee/leg. Dr. Wilber did a. osteotomy, reconstruction of my ACL, and shaved down the curvature as much as he could. I STILL live with the results of not being able to find anyone to correct the curve until 1998. Please contact me at your earliest convenience.

I am female. In 1963, when I was 4, I broke my upper arm and was diagnosed with a bone cyst. The doctors replaced my bone with sheep bone, which lasted 8 years. They then harvested hip bone and grafted to remaining bone. I have no idea what kind it was. When children have a cyst, are they likely to have another?

Thanks for adding the physical presentations. I was already of the opinion i had scfe when younger, it was missed and gradually got worse. My legs are exactly like that. And my most comfortable leg position is actually with the right leg crossing on top of the left at the mid calf. The foot naturally twists outwards so i use the shin or left foot as an anchor point. Having an mri on my back was awful, having the legs flat and the feet taped so they wouldjt externally rotate, my entire body basicaly revolted against it.

I have this condition and my Mother does as well. I played hockey growing up and this definitely affected my shot and stick handling but I managed. I am 44 and worked in the trades until the age of 38. I can’t be certain but I believe this was the root cause of a lot of lower back issues due to the way I was always lifting. Also, I’ve dumped a lot of change on the floor in 44 years so now I just say keep it.

Thank you doctor. I feel hopeful. My 11 year old son had a complete fracture of ulna and a hairline fracture in distal on right wrist. They was far less damage than some of these examples. The doctor insisted surgery but i have insisted on reductions. The reductions are working well. Thankful for doctors like you who believe in allowing the body to do what it was created for and using surgery as a second resort.

Wow, reading so many comments of people with the same diagnosis. My son is turning 3 in two months, I noticed it when he was about a year and a half old. Looks like the boy in the picture at minute 4:00. Doctors said the same, surgery is not the best option because it is not severe.

i am not a doctor...i had Limb Lenght Discrepancy (..limb limb discrincy...lol...)my entire life caused by the left hip being created higher than the right and dragging the foot with it at about 4cm higher...i found out about this at my 34 by doing accidentally a move that i never see in videos and that makes me sad.. if you lie on the floor with your butt close to the wall in a 90degree angle and put your feet on the wall you will see which one is shorter..so simple yet i never see this in videos..
