I have the same snare like yours 14x6.5 Limited E Titanium came with the same black case. Bought in Tokyo back in 2007 (I think). In mu store room for years. I'm thinking of selling it. Can you tell me roughly how much does it worth now. Looking forward to your response, good day.

Good Day Sir, I was wondering if you would share your opinions between the original Johnny Craviotto brand snare drums verses the DW Craviotto snare models that J.C. fabricated the shells for?

I'm pretty sure that's brown flash finish. I recently got a 8 and 10 Pearl black fiberglass concert toms, mint condition. Years ago I had a set of all 8 (6-16) Pearl white fiberglass concert toms.

Hello, I purchased the deluxe set and I didn't like it because it sounded too dark for my taste. so I got rid of it and I purchased the Phenolic set in my opinion the Phenolic set sounds better than the deluxe set. it has a more open tone and a clear tone and I've been playing since the late 60s. I've had my share of drum sets and in my opinion these Pearl drums sound the best out of all the sets I've ever owned. I think it has something to do with the synthetic shells. They have a nice clean open tone and what more can I say? I like your channel you allow people to experience many drum sets that they themselves could not afford or have space to play them in. Thank you.

Just got a set of these 12,13,16, 22 bass drum. They are in great condition, the only beat up parts are the bass drum hoops. Bearing edges are perfect, wrap seams still perfect, there’s a couple little dings on the 12” Tom but that’s it. They are indeed really heavy, very similar construction to my Sonor sq1, super thick birch shells. Still can’t believe I got them for the price from this dude lol

I just bought a 7 piece CZX for $1400 bucks. It was a holy grail kit for me and luckily the market is so bad the seller dumped it. Mine has a few bad lugs, which is common, and the finish has reddened a little bit where I guess it sat facing the sun for a few years. But I am having a blast with it and will keep it forever.

I think you should be a little more excited about your high end paiste cymbals especially the 602.

Heavy drums as these are meant to be tuned a bit higher so you get a Full sound.. take out any bass muffle and tune it higher with just a towel on bottom of batter side, toms tune bottom heads a bit tighter.. Tommy lee from motley crue used this same kit for the 1985 theater of pain tour.. huge drum sound

Ray Ayotte has been making solid shell snares for quite a while now. He even recently made a solid shell (birch) bop kit. It's insane.

I reckon there was or is, enough base coat/sapphire to then nip up with p300 then apply two coats of 2k clear lacquer. Beautiful drum's by the way, and a damn good ear you have too! 👍

Awesome kit, Dave. Love the gold hardware too. For some reason, Tama included natural maple finished hoops on the first Green Sparkle kits in 1996-97, so I do think those are original on yours. Why? No idea. But, they were proud enough of the color combo to use it for the cover of the Japanese and US catalogues in 1996/1997. By the 2002 catalogue, they seemed to go with matching hoops on the GSP kits.

Those sound so amazing. In 1989, I worked in a music store giving drum lessons. They had a transparent black XPK kit in 12, 13, 16, 22. I used to drool over that kit. I fantasized about how it would look with a set of red Paiste Colorsounds. I really wish I'd bought them.

Hey there, thanks for the video. I just purchased one. Have you put 42 wires on there per chance ? Just wondering if so how you found the sound? Also, what was the tensioning of the first play through. Certainly the best imo

Drummers that dream about this don't know the downside of this. They're heavy as fuck, hard to get a good angle for the rack toms, especially when having two kick drums and the end up really high. I managed to get a pretty good angle with a rack after 16 years of using regular stands. Because of the wieghts, even on the smaller rack toms hardware will take a lot of punishment and even the best Pearl tom holders get worn out faster. In the end, the sound is pretty impressing after all this time.

I’ve used this pedal exclusively since 2000…I love it. Totally smooth and silent…sound engineers love it. Despite having a spare box of the rubber “gizmos”….I’m still using the first “round type” I put on in 2001. The original T shaped ones were not a great success. Several of my drummer friends hate this pedal…they think it’s too “springy”…and also, they distrust it because it doesn’t have a metal spring…even though there is a conversion kit for it. My own view is that it is a robust and beautifully engineered piece of kit. The bass drum attachment couldn’t be simpler…no messing with wing nuts or drum keys…just lift the batter side of the drum up a couple of inches and clip the pedal…same deal at the end of the gig-lift and done. The pedal’s undoing was it was simply TOO innovative…drummers (who can be a conservative lot) just couldn’t handle it. But it’s by a long way the best pedal I ever owned…and I don’t expect to ever use anything else.

Great pick up Dave. I still have my BLX in Arctic White purchased new in 1998, 22,10,12,13,16 &18, gigged & recorded with them for many years, still sound amazing. I am fortunate to have a Reference & Reference Pure kit that are both beautiful instruments also. Something will have to give eventually but not the BLX, I am way too attached to them
