What about using BassMidiVSTi + Soundfont in commercial use (without getting into legal trouble)? I want to create 16-bit midi music for 'new-old-games' (final product as .wav file).... Another method - I will try to use the original Roland SC 88 (when the package comes and I can start it), but it will be very uncomfortable...
@NickLeonard4 күн бұрын
@@Viimaheim all depends on the soundfont, and they vary. If it uses samples recorded without permission but a third parry, it would be copyright infringement. I don't know if there are any cases where it has actually gone to court, and I think the person who distributed the soundfont would be liable and not you, if they could prove you even used it. Certainly if you're using the original hardware or a licensed product like the Roland plugins, you're fine.

Hi Nick, great review. I own the MVAVE Tank B, and I wanted to mention this pedal doubles as an amp profiler. On that note, I have a few bass distortion profiles available for the Tank B available for download on my channel if anyone wants to take a look. @kevinjc seems like you've got a good start, I would work on increasing the video production value (camera work and lighting before gear) and most importantly is delivery and building a connection with your audience. It takes practice to speak well on camera, but just keep at it, look at the camera!

Really good video man! and your voice is crisp as hell, I could listen to your voice for hours. And also the M-vave brand also has a tank-g and tank-b, and the playwell brand also has a tank-g ,I'm not sure if they have a tank-b though. (Its weird I know three brands having the same multieffects pedal model) and also, a really cool thing about the tank-b is the preamp models you can make your own model like basstorsion, aftershock, darkglass etc. and you just have to upload it into the tank-b.

The drums are so much cleaner and the concept is definitely worth a rehash. Using yourself as a point of reference and the only set of ears on a project is very hard and requires a solid routine and self-awareness. Writing wise, I remember reading some of Psalms and seeing that David would refer his prayers to the chief musicians at the time. It really emphasises the use of music in Christian faith and why it is highly important to uphold music as a tradition. So much good comes from making music. Community, struggle, self-development and a whole lot of learning. It really is the best expression of something that is uniquely human and should always be coveted as Holy. This is quite literally how it is supposed to be done. And it is super awesome!

Great concept man! I know how tough writing and arranging something like this, I once wrote a “heavy metal murder musical” movie all in GarageBand in 2010 I’m so glad tech has grown. Can’t wait to check this out, for some reason I’ve been heavily into Revelation since 2019 when everything started going to hell. I also love how you went back to basics with writing, pre-production, and real in-room production. My favorite new IR’s are FORGED IN CODE. I love how they wrote them: “literally no speakers were actually recorded or measured, and no real cabinets were involved in its creation. And that's because the IRs in this collection are, just like the name implies, created entirely in software.” FOC WEBSITE Thank you!

It's nice! It's nice! When I go around I like to listen to my Fostex t20rp mk3; they're not easy headphones to drive, but my Topping Nx7 amplifier does a splendid job. As a DAC I have a small and simple Grave Audio D06, which is equipped with the classic Conexant Cx 31993, which I suspect is amplified by something, because it outputs 65mw per channel, which is not very little. However, I was thinking of something a little more powerful, without sacrificing the cleanliness that my little Conexant offers me. This, even though it only has 5 more milliwatts per channel, was an idea. What do you think? Is there some model you have in mind?

I don't know. I question all of this. I get that he picked his gates by data, and that's cool. but in actual usage, these results do not make sense. There is no way any ISP gate out performs any of the other pedals in a real test of actially playing a high gain guitar. The only question mark I have is the Sentry as I haven't used one of those, but I've tried everyrthing else. A gate should be graded on it's natural feel and not gate data. It's like a tube. Tubes are outdated tech and should be considered junk compared to today's modelers, but somehow tubes are king. Why? Because we need feel.

The fact that you can't even restring the guitar without disassembling the saddles is hilarious. I thought I was lazy, these guys built an entire ten string guitar but couldn't be assed to drill and chamfer ten extra holes, that's like, the easiest step. Wild that you actually managed to make it sound half decent considering it was on fire at one point and it looks like a weekend project someone threw together during a bender.
