Glad the diet is going well for you, my bro. You can see the transformation you've had with it. Are you adding exercise in as well? If not, I'd highly recommend even just a daily calisthenics routine - skip the cardio BS, unless you enjoy running. Push-ups, pull-ups, squats. If you've got some weights, or do down the road, you can add those in as well, but basic calisthenics alone are amazing. If you'd like an assist on putting the routine together, just lemme know - I can lay it out right here in the comments for ya. Expect about 30-45 minutes a day, or a few hours a week cumulatively. Easy peasy. Much love, keep rockin

A Harvard study: Association of Animal and Plant Protein Intake With All-Cause and Cause Specific Mortality. Researchers brought in a large group of people and they looked at the protein they ate and who lived and who died. They controlled for the cholesterol and the fat so they could look just at the effect of the protein. Conclusion: Animal protein is always associated with higher cardiovascular mortality. Plant protein was inversely associated with all cause mortality.

You are not going to like this study: UK BIOBANK STUDY: Looked at 300 people following a low carbohydrate high fat (keto) diet and compared them to 1200 people on a standard diet. It concluded that the risk of having a heart attack, peripheral artery disease, and stroke was double that of those following the standard diet. Other things to note on a keto diet include: high cholesterol, constipation, and a smelly breath.

Sounded to me like everybody was chugging the same riff. If there had been a dedicated bass line, the differences probably would have been more pronounced. Personally, I'm annoyed at the current trend of muddying the waters. You have bass players moving to 6+ strings to play the squeaky notes at the high end and guitarists drop tuning 7+ strings to chug the low tones. It's like they're in the closet, secretly wanting to play the other instrument but unwilling to admit it to themselves.
@NickLeonardКүн бұрын
It would've been more pronounced, and a good idea if I ever revisit the topic, but the question I was trying to answer was: if someone only has a baritone, or only has a bass, and wants to play in these low tunings, how much of a difference does the instrument make? There are lots of bands and subgenres that live in these low tunings. If I was playing a more standard rock/metal style with the guitar and bass an octave apart, it would sound way weirder, but I don't think that would really be a question anyone has...

At about 30 years old I was 5'6" 225 and 3 years removed from an injury that ended my powerlifting career and I decided to start a Keto type diet. I was dating a woman who really enjoyed her happy hours so I only followed MY version of Keto 5 days a week. My version was fish, chicken, eggs, cheese and 2 beef meals per week with Broccoli, Cauliflower, asparagus, spinach or Brussels sprouts included with each meal. No bread, rice, pasta or sweets. I was mountain biking 3-4 day a week and lifting moderately 3 days a week. In 5 months I dropped to 170 pounds and my energy was very high. My problem came with another injury that kept me from working out and my craving for carbs got me back up to 210 pounds.I've maintained a weight of about 185 pounds for the last 20 years even now at 60 just limiting my starches. I would like to drop another 20 pounds so I'm starting to get more disciplined.

The scale is a bad tool for carnivore. Your body goes through a recomposition where you lose fat and gain muscle. A lot of it is internal so you don't even see it. I stopped weighing myself because the scale didn't move, but random people kept telling me how much weight is lost. So... Yeah

@@otfdurkioo I haven't measured. In the past my cholesterol went way down on keto, also high in dietary cholesterol. I have found there's a lot of diets that we will lose weight and should feel better if we're not doing the processed foods and lowering our empty carbs/ sugar intake, but the nutritional aspect of eating bioavailable nutrients was very noticeable with carnivore for me. I too found Keto harder and was not getting the same results that I am now . I'm satisfied and satiated and when I increased the animal fat /collagen intake , all the other benefits and improvements were quite noticeable, like mental clarity, mood, sleep , energy and all my GI issues I had are gone. It's to the point that I'm not even concentrating on the weight loss .
