Everyone hates those connectors, and everyone had gotten scraped up and bleeding because of them. screw type hose clamps are not suitable replacements tho, as they dont expand and contact and keep consistent pressure under hot and cold conditions. Yeah, they are annoying, but keep using them anyway, just expect them to be difficult, and take a little more time and care to prevent injury.

My heater core is clogged on my VW Rabbit. Shop told me it needs to be replaced altogether. Quoted $1K. I don't know why they can't just flush it like this.
@oxmanagain
@oxmanagain 10 күн бұрын
@@EMVelez I can think of a 1000 reasons why. To be fair sometimes mechanics think replacing fixes the problem better than fixing. A new heater core would solve the problem but I flushed mine four years ago and it still works. If you keep looking around you will find a shop that will flush it for you if you can't do it yourself. Maybe you have a neighbor or something that can assist. I hope the best for you.

Gonna want to reverse flush the heater core. Determine which connection is input and which is out. Usually the heater hose coming out of the intake manifold is the hot water in, you want the other line.

@oxmanagain thank you for all your hard work you've done keep up the hard work I ended up getting the seafoam I got the poor in kind and I put a bottle in my tank and I got the pressurized kind and I took the Schrader valve out of my fuel rail Jerry rigged a valve stem cap and the little red spray hose that comes with a can together so I could pressurize my fuel rail with concentrated seafoam and I ran the whole can through it it definitely made a difference unfortunately didn't fully fix the problem but I now know I have a fuel related issue either bad injector or really dirty this is on an 88 Bronco 2

Fuel additives a big yes. I treat my fuel at least once a year. But, oil additives are a big no. Don't ever add any additives to your oil. They have been scientifically proven to do more harm than good. Oil additives reduce the life of your oil, can raise the acidity and many other things in your oil, as well as, create unwanted chemical reactions with the additives that are already in your oil. Fuel all day long. Oil never...

@@oscarvillalobos2453 you really have to make sure the airbag suspension is working fine. Other than that these things really last. Once you change the spark plugs O2 sensors and fuel injectors plus clean the throttle body you would think you have a brand new vehicle.
