I had been having the exact same issue! I had my LR certified mechanic watch this. He shook his head, laughed, and replaced the relief valve. He had run diagnostics, which DID NOT report a problem, and was able to show them to me. But this fixed it. One other issue that it was not was older Johnson rods ("...this little arm"..."), which can wear out. Land Rover, making mechanics out of owners for over 40 years! I love this thing.

Nice work on the video. Your height adjustment sensors are basically a variable resistor that tells the computer where the suspension is. If you have a Rover that has navigation, you can pull up the 4x4 menu, then watch each sensor as you raise and lower the vehicle. If you see any of the sensor locators jumping around, you have a bad ride height sensor on that corner. You will know which one is bad, because the other sensors will be moving smoothly throughout their operation while going up and down. Hope this helps someone!

Mine sit below the lines.. compressor turns on.. then off.. lights turning off inside also.. can u help me out with this problem
@DirtyRottenBikes10 ай бұрын
@@caspernoble9468 I will try. When the vehicle is on, you are inside, all of the doors are closed, set the vehicle to its highest position. (does it go up?) if it goes up, wait until it's at max height, then get out and listen at each wheel very closely and try to hear any air leaking (basically a hissing sound). If you hear air leaking (hissing noise) from a specific corner, you will want to get a spray bottle with soapy water mixed up in it, jack up the car (safely) pull the tire/wheel off of that corner then spray down the air connections to see if you see air bubbles, if no air bubbles, try spraying up into the rubber portion of the shock absorber, again look for bubbles. If you see bubbles at any one of these steps you will need to fix that before moving forward, as that is probably your issue.

Great video sir. I am a new owner of a 2008 LR3, and started noticing that it was bowing to me every morning. Took it to a Land Rover specialist and was told I needed $2043 in new air bags. I had seen your channel before I bought the LR3 so I took my LR3 home and did my own testing. Put it in extended height mode, measured, let it sit for 14 hours, re-measured and had lost 3/4" all the way around. I am now doing the second test with the fuse removed. Great Land Rover videos! I've watched them all. Just recently had this same suspension issue and your video helped me diagnose the problem. However when I installed the replacement front valve block and started the engine the front suspension raised up fine but immediately started to lower. The compressor kept running and airing it back up but it wouldn't stay up. So I re-installed the old/original block and it aired up and stayed (until the next morning, as I had already diagnosed the slow leak) I guessing that the new block is faulty, as I've read from several amazon reviewers. But also wondering if it made a mistake on the installation. I did notice that the new block comes with new brass fittings. I didn't really know how to replace these so just ended up screwing the old/original ones directly into the new block. Could this have been the problem? I wouldn't think so as they seem to work fine on the original block. So I'm confused on how to proceed with fixing this issue. Thanks so much for your help!!

I am a bit confused: It very well explains why disable the height adjustment system. Then at 08:33, height is < 34in and leaning forward and you say that its a leak. Which makes sense. But the conclusion of the video is about replacing the height adjustment system. The only way this would have been a height adjustment system is if overnight the height did not drop but at 08:33 it seems it dropped and indicates a leak.
@oxmanagain7 ай бұрын
You are 100% correct it was the valve box and not the height adjustment sensor. I concluded at the end of the video with the height adjustment sensors because of prior questions on other videos asking how much would it cost. So to fix your entire system is still worth the time and effort versus switching over to coils. You are 100% correct it was the valve blocks.

Any updates on this, did replacing the sensor fix the issue? I am having the issue. But all four suspensions are flat down to the tires touching. Both air suspensions and air compressors are relatively new. But yeah, I got suspension fault and it wouldn't go up. Thanks
@oxmanagain2 жыл бұрын
If all four of your tires are down most likely you have a leak in your air compressor or both of your valves are bad. This did fix my. Because it was the washer on my valve block.

@@oxmanagain I feel like it might be that compressor still annoyed as it may be the compressor is overheating at some point in time and shutting itself down, but I won’t know that unless I can determine whether or not there’s a leak and that’s why the compressor is running

So here’s what I have so far, set the height like you LF 34” RF 33.25 Both rears 35.75 After LF 31.5 -2.5 RF 32 -1.25 RR 35.5 -.25 LR 35.5 -.25 I’m off tomorrow so I’m going to spray the boots to see if I have any leaks, I’ll let you know what I see from there.

What if ur 2006 rover is stuck in high suspension and wont lower? Im new and green on this so any help great
@oxmanagain Жыл бұрын
If you drive over 30 miles an hour you should automatically start to Lower. That's something I've never heard of being an issue. I would assume it is the height of Jasmine sensors that are causing the problem.

Very great video thank you again! My problem is: That “car shaking light” came on, air susp. fault flashed. Disco keeps on driving with no problems. When i took it to the off road mode and park it, there’s a air leaking whisle coming from the right front side of the car. The air comp. stops when it reaches the right height, thats good but why? There’s a leak in the strud. Shouldn’t the air compressor need to keep running? Need you help oxmanagain!
@oxmanagain3 жыл бұрын
If you have air coming out clearly you need to address that. It could be coming out of the bladder of the air shock. I have a video where I show how you change the air shocks. If you hear air it's either your valve the air bag or the airline. I would 100% address that as soon as possible

@@oxmanagain Thank you too. By the way i’m the second owner of this car, it’s 2007 model and the air shock that we changed was the original one! The production date sticker says 04/2007, it’s 14 years! The air suspension system is reliable.

Hello sir. Thanks for the great videos. Did you use the ride height sensors in the link provided to fix your issue? I have an 07 LR3 with an intermittent suspension light and suspect the ride height sensor is the issue. Drove it up to Big Bear and light came on while hitting the bends. Goes away when turned off then back on randomly. Kindly advise. West Covina, Ca
@oxmanagain3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it could be the height sensor or the Land Rover terrain response switch.

Realizing this is a year or so old now, @oxmanagain, if the height stays solid overnight with the fuse pulled it is down to the relief valve or the block?
@oxmanagain2 жыл бұрын
The relief valves play a major part in the air suspension system. After that your height sensors come into play then your compressor. Obviously if the Rover is still up you don't have a leak in the airbags. What is the problem exactly? The more minds you put on this the sooner it can get fixed
