Hey Dan… just stumbled upon your video… ive got the same exact bike and your video has kinda made me think about trying out this exhaust…. Theres a note on their website about center stand spring and recommendation about using a liquid gasket… anything youre aware of or have issues with regarding center stand and gasket?
@danondemand15 күн бұрын
Hey! Nope, I have a bunch of miles on this exhaust by now and zero issues. I didn't notice the comments about the spring or center stand gasket. If I were to do it again I'd follow the updated guidance though. Good luck!

Why did you rebuild this carb? Was the bike not running properly? If so, can you explain the symptoms and did this rebuilt resolve the problems?
@danondemand15 күн бұрын
I picked up the bike at auction and it wasn't running, so as with any carb the first step was to clean or rebuild. When I opened up the carb I saw the gaskets were in bad shape so I just got the rebuild kit. In general, carburetors tend to be picky so if the bike isn't running well one of the first steps is to clean it out, especially if it's been sitting for a while. It's also a good idea to run them dry when you don't plan to ride it for a few days (start the bike , then turn off the fuel valve and just let it run out of gas). This will keep things from clogging up...

@danondemand29 күн бұрын
Uh-oh I think you're right. There's conflicting info but the official schedule says 6k like you mentioned. www.motorcycleparts-hornig.com/BMW-F-750-GS-F-850-GS/Maintenance-interval-service/ and. maintenanceschedule.com/bmw-f-750-gs-maintenance-schedule/#bmw-f-750-gs-service-intervals both say 12k, but when in doubt I'd go with the BMW recommendation.

If you squeeze the brake lever your pistons\ pads will begin pushing out of the calipers. You may be able to get away with just one squeeze, if so just push them back in.

The first bike that I had, and still have - (for a long time) only had a center stand- quite contrary to the current norm of the center stands being more of an exception. So would claim some fame on being a center stand expert of sorts :). A nice demo of how to put on the main stand. I have the exact same F750GS 40th anniversary model.. I tend to have my right hand on the grab rails, rather than the foot rest mount... an interesting take on putting the bike on the stand.. maybe I should try that

Hello, I wanted to know if it is possible to deactivate the abs with this tool. since to go off road I can't deactivate them
@danondemand2 ай бұрын
Hi! Your bike should have a button on the left handlebar with a partial circle ending with an arrow and an exclamation mark inside of it. If you press and hold it it'll disable DTC. This is handy off-road (if you know what you're doing). I would not disable ABS, especially for off-road since it can only save you. But to answer your question, no the tool doesn't let you turn it off (that I know of)

Which bike do you have? I'd try a few different things: 1) make sure that you're only changing one thing at a time. On my 2010 s1000rr sometimes the clock gets reset when I play around with menus or change different settings. 2) make sure you're using the newest version of the gs911 app. 3) check if you can make other changes, like setting the clock or changing the reset mileage interval.

Hopefully you find one that works! Just so you know, this bracket didn't say it was compatible with this model year either but it was cheap enough to risk it and it worked out. Would the adjustable lever be in the way?
