Hello friend, I am preparing for the 2021 s1000rr track races. I bought Öhlins ttx bm568 for the rear. My budget is not enough for the front, do you think it will cause me a problem?

My oil in my crankcase has filled completely with fuel. Ive read that this means the carburator needs cleaned and rebuilt. Sound right? Thanks
@danondemand8 күн бұрын
Bummer! It's possible that the little carburetor float plunger is dirty or damaged and doesn't shut off the flow of gas when the bowl fills up. If the overflow is also clogged up the gas will flow down with gravity and can end up inside the engine. When you rebuild it, pay special attention to the float plunger and also make sure all the little holes (even the ones that don't seem like they may do much) are completely clean. A high-E guitar string works really well if you don't have the cleaning tool. Good luck!

Hi Dan, just wondering if stainless steel screws are okay to use on this handlebar clamps? I saw some forum posts saying it can cause corrosion with aluminium.
@danondemand21 күн бұрын
Hey that's a really good question... The bars and clamp look like they're plated but I'm not sure how they'll hold up with stainless steel hardware. I ride in most weather and so far so good.

@danondemand that sounds reassuring, thanks for responding.. 🙏🏼

Thank you! Worked on F800GS as well. the connection socket didn't come of the body as easily for me at first.. maybe they changed something with the new model but what did the trick for me was disconnecting the connector before taking the socket off the body, then it came off easily.

I’m about to remove this connector to get a switched live for a dash cam. Which way did you have to push it as mines not moving. Doesn’t have the GPS lead fitted as I didn’t order that.
@vishivishy20 күн бұрын
@@DESPERATEPILOT so my understanding is that only the white connector clips on to the body which is on the navigation cradle side of this connection. so that means you should only have the black-grey connector, which as far as I've seen, does not have anything to latch it on to the body. maybe they've put a cover on the connector so protect it from water and probably that is the thing latching on to the body (can't say for sure without having a look at a photo of your setup) but my suggestion will be the same i.e. to try n disconnect the connector (hopefully from the connector cover) the way Dan has shown in the video BEFORE trying to take it off the body. for me taking it off the body was really easy once the two connectors were apart.
@DESPERATEPILOT20 күн бұрын
It’ll move very slightly to the left, maybe 5mm but still doesn’t release.. 🤷♂️
@vishivishy19 күн бұрын
@@DESPERATEPILOT I had the exact same behaviour that "while connected" the white connector will move about 5mm to the left and it won't go any further or come off the body. Then I tried to disconnect before taking it off the body, look in the gap behind the right indicator you should be able to see the black connector. Try to unplug it by pulling to the right, once disconnected the thing thats keeping it stuck/(moving only 5mm) should come off as well by sliding to the left. If still no luck after this try sharing some images of the connection so we can think of something else..

Hi Dan. I have a f750 gs 2023 I want to use the kn160 filter. When I go to Amazon and other places they leave out the year 23. Do you know the oil filter I need? By the way you make excellent videos.
@danondemand23 күн бұрын
Oh man that's strange... I just checked the K&N website and see exactly the same thing. I'm 99% sure the KN-160 will fit. If you're in the US you can order it from Amazon and return it if it doesn't fit. Let me know how it turns out!
@nickchandley5414Ай бұрын
I like the K&N filters with the hex nut on them - greatly simplifies getting them off, particularly when they're recessed such as this filter is. I'm curious why you wouldn't pull the dipstick from the oil fill hole before draining the bike. I do this every time as I think it speeds the draining process. Great videos and good instruction! Thanks.

Good idea! I usually loosen it and should have mentioned that in the video

@vn3801Ай бұрын
Problem with the video is that you didn't flush the calibers, only the lines. The banjo bolt for each calliper is right where the bleeder nipple is so in order to expel old fluid from callipers the pistons must be pushed all the way in with the bleeder nipple loose.

thanks for letting me know! they must have removed it shortly after I posted the video. I posted different links for the intermal & external filters directly from shop-imz-ural.com/ I bought a number of things from them before but for some reason when I was buying parts for this service their site was down and wouldn't let me order. It seems to be back now. BTW... which model and color is your Ural?

What is the main purpose of the relay. Why install it? What are the benefits?
@danondemandАй бұрын
A relay is a switch that you control with voltage. It lets you use very little energy to control a lot of energy. For example, you don't want to run a heater, air horn, or anything else that consumes a lot of power directly off an existing circuit because it may overload. But, if you use that circuit to control a relay, you can draw as much power as you need without the circuit even knowing about it. Hope this helps!
