Nice review I was wondering with one to choose between corbin and Sargent for my f850

@sebas9248 I got a Corbin for my CBR F4i a while back and while it was much more comfortable than the stock seat, I found it very hard\stiff compared to the Sargent seats. If u get a Sargent for your f850 you may want to ask them to build up the area near the tank higher to avoid sliding into it. I had to send mine back to get redone and that was a pain...

Whats your opinion a few months in? I just ordered the front saddle for my R1250GS in the CFX material. I generally prefer a slippery seat since grippy seats tug on my pants as I move around which is uncomfortable for me. But I am noticing as I watch more reviews people seem to like the DTX material more in general, with a few people preferring CFX.

I love the seat(after sending it back for reshaping), and the wife really likes it too. I have CFX on my s1000rr and it is a bit more slippery but that fits the bike. On this one I went w DTX but honestly it's not all that different. The super grippy part is only on the side of the seat and helps when you squeeze the tank w the legs. I can still move around when needed and I'm guessing I'd be totally fine with either option.

@@danondemand Thanks for the review. What does Sargent actually do for the reshaping- do you need to specify something in particular? I am kind of sitting on the edge with the decision to purchase the seat. Generally they seem to get good reviews but on this video thread itself another viewer complains the same about the slide forward part... In Europe there is a dealer based in UK for the supply and I wonder if they could help out with addressing such problems. A heated seat definitely would be a big plus for the F750GS. I do like the comfort seat from BMW but I wonder if the Sargent could extend the ride time before I hit my limitations

@lowlandsrider I explained the problem of sliding forward and they told me to send it back for rework. They built up the narrow front section that is near the tank to be higher, and shaved off the center section. That modification made all the difference and I absolutely love the seat. I recently did a pretty long road trip and seat comfort was not an issue for me or for the wife. We both think that the F750 stock seat was pretty good relative to stock seats on other bikes, and with this mod it's awesome.

Thanks.. looking forward to your heat installation video. Appreciate you getting back with a response. Have fun with the very comfortable looking saddle and ride safe, cheers

I was also looking at the tour tech low seat. Any thoughts?

Never tried those, but I did end up sending the Sargent back for some rework after riding for a week. I kept sliding forward and into the tank, so hopefully they'll reshape it and fix the issue.

@@danondemand yeah my bike has a Sargent regular height on it and it tends to slide me forward as well. I did order the tour tech low seat and it’s better, but not to happy about the material, it’s not slippery like the Sargent, so for a short rider trying to shift from right foot to left,it doesn’t slide as easy.

@@danondemand I just started following Dan and saw you have the same issue I have had on my 2020 f750gs seat by Sargent. I do like the seat except that it "pushes me forward" and i'm certain you know the uncomfortable pressure I get from it. I would very much like to hear if you find a solution to this. I'm considering sending it off to my brother who is a machinist to see if he can make a new longer "post" for the seat pan. Best of luck , Mike

@@danondemand Hi! I'm thinking of buying this Sargeant but yes! Sliding to the tank is a pain in the n*ts for long trips. Did that reshape worked fine? I've tried the Wunderlich seat and has that part solver, is a bit higher and has a cut along that part which releaves that situation.
