A tip for the instant mash, put about half the hot water in then add a chunk of butter then stir it through, then if you need to add more water to get to the desired thickness,it makes it a b8t tastier

Hi, thanks for this and your other very informative videos! I have a question- I have a 2017 T6 with 4motion. I thought it had electronic diff lock as standard... is this sort of part of the 4motion system? My van does not have the button you have shown in this video. Does this mean that I don't have diff lock at all? Or is your rear diff lock option for mechanical diff lock rather than electronic? Thanks

Safety and security tip guys, never show your car plates on the web. Was there 40 years ago, nothing has changed Once you've done the round trip and Tassie, it gets hard choosing the top 100 sites of this vast land Check out Dargo some day.

Hi Alex, we are getting one for our T6.1 next week. What was the thinking behind bar mount vs bonnet mount? Also, did you consider trying to fit the unit under the drivers seat and run cable under rubber flooring? Cheers, Ian

Really enjoyed this Alex! Such a satisfying collection of shots at the end. Comprehensive tips! Two more: if you've got a locker and the bottom is round river rocks it can help with steady forward momentum in the case where a wheel might find a bit of a hole between rocks. And the 300mm depth is smaller than we think - carry a cheap timber school ruler (30cm long) and a permanent marker in the driver door pocket. When wading the crossing to check on foot, measure up your leg and draw a line on your leg, then you can easily see the depth as your wade each part of the crossing. Guess who taught me that one ;) hope you're still finding them. Safe travels.

Hi Alex - thinking about for our t6.1 Trakkadu before we head to inland NSW/QLD in a few months time. I assume they do protrude slightly to effectively catch some stones that might otherwise be flung down the side of the vehicle(in other words they are not just for show)? Also, do you have the Seikel fuel tank protection panel? We have all the other Seikel underbody protection elements except that one and just wondering if we should invest in it.

What if I dont have differential lock.... is that big bad ?
@Audigiant20 күн бұрын
You will probably have EDL (electronic "differential lock"). The EDL system will brake the wheel slipping (using the ABS system). I have this system on my Audi with a Torsen center diff. Not as good as mechanical differential lock, but better than nothing.

This was the only Kumho tyre I couldn't get on with. Off road they were okay , but the 10ply rating was horrific on road and down right dangerous in the wet or towing. Worst All Terrain Tyre I've used in 20 years. I switched to Nexan which suited my needs better and we're night and day safer under load.
@MikeFree224 ай бұрын
Not sure about your results. They’re a favorite for HotShot drivers. I’ve run almost every all terrain tire there is at one point or another…and currently have the AT52s on two business rigs. They’re great in the rain and towing…and I would never run anything other than a E-rated 10 ply regardless of how they ride.
@brianmckenzie9634 ай бұрын
10 e is a softer compound and shouldn't have the ride your talking about.

Hey mate. Took my T6.1 4motion on the beach about 6 months ago and was devastated to get it bogged, I realised after that I needed to turn the traction off 😂, had it back on the beach again this week and it absolutely smashed it no problems. We’ve eyed up a couple of other spots since and been a bit wary with entrances to the beach with super deep tracks and poor clearance, do you have any advice? Or just avoid those and find beaches with better entrances
