Oh wanted to say for Nomad shimmers try the wet brush method - spraying your brush after you pick up the shimmer - and see how that works for you. Brands do need to absolutely slow down on releases. I tend to distance myself from brands that do too much because it is not enjoyable if it comes so fast and quick. Yes we need time to savor the purchases,

I love a good tag and this one did not disappoint. Yes Indies have been killing the shadow game and I don’t see this changing in 2025. For me, I’ve been more of a single shadow collector but in 2023 and 2024, the indie palette game was soooooo good my palette collection exploded! And very minimal regrets. I came to the PML party late in 2021 and I’m glad I did because that’s when the crazy 40% sales kicked in. I think Madame Pat has made her legacy and can do whatever she wants with her talent to her hearts content from this point on I know some are disappointed but just like with Rihanna (who people continue to complain about the no new album), I want these women happy and fulfilled and not burdened by the desire of the masses.

I agree with a lot of your thoughts! Fewer releases from some of these brands would be great.

All 3 looks you created were lovely❤ I haven't bought either palette as yet. Prior to Artitude's release, Cooltrals was already on my 'must try' list, but now... I'll need to properly review the range of my existing blue-navy shadows to make the choice between the 2 palettes. If I'm lacking tonal variation in my blue-navy shadow collection then I'll pick up Cooltrals as planned.

Such a cute palette!! I have to say I really find the colour story intriguing for this one versus the warmer toned palette. My favorite look was going to be the blue one but something about how the last looks opened up your eyes stole my ❤. Jem, you’re so pretty!! I found the same thing with the sigma… it’s sooo dry and “hard” to apply but it does work as a primer. I’ve compared it to the LA girl primer stick and the Hard Candy eyeshadow marker in matte and they so similar but very different price points.

I vote for the third look only because that first pink in that look is so pretty! But for blending skills, look 2 is fantastic!

Try Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. I cant use those more heavy sticky primers for my shimmers anymore because of my aging eyes. I also used juvias place shadow primer #2 or #1 depending on what colors I'm using but these 2 are my ride or dies!!

I don’t have a primer base recommendation for whole eye. But I do use NYX glitter glue for shimmers of all kinds and find it very reliable. I have drier lids so I don’t really get much creasing but I do notice the NYX glitter glue is so good at keeping shimmer type shades no matter how finicky in place.

I love the purple side. Could I be turning on green 😅. I think, maybe I’m just particular about what greens I like and how I like them. Like I’m a Cosmic Brushes Undergrowth type of green lover versus a Nomad Ireland Wild Atlantic Way type of green person. I really like the color stories of these Artitude recent duo palettes. I think I’m more drawn to the cooler tone one. In the latter end of this year, I’m hoping to try them as one of my new brands addition.

Happy New Year Jem. So for the next 4 months I’m off buying but this doesn’t stop me from doing a massive wishlist. I’m cataloging my makeup - mostly my single shadows- which includes a lot of shadows from pallets that I depotted or were magnetic. It’s a lot of shadows😂😂😂😂. I’m doing this as it will be easier to identify them for building BYOPs. If I’m interested in a new palette - I’ll be duping the vibes with my collection. This was originally why I started my singles empire building. BUT the. In 2923 and 2024 the indie brands came out with SOOOO many fantastic palettes, my dreams got derailed with the fantasies they were selling. I don’t have too many regrets with my palette buys BUT I could do with less palettes.

NZ Stargazing is one of only three Nomad palettes described as "Intense Colour and Chrome". The other two are Chicago Speakeasy and Haunted Europe. It would seem the higher price tag is justified by the better formula

I always feel like their shimmer formula changes from palette to palette depending on the color story… I don’t know that for sure. It’s just something I think. Love both looks😘 OH!! Wait until you try the matte white 🤯🤯🤯

I’m only up to the application of the lightest blue shade and I referenced this palette while filming my blue Mondays video for tomorrow. The palette I used can’t even come close in my opinion.

I like what you did with this palette. Cute looks! I quite like the blown out blue as it gives that winter iciness This palette story is cute but like you not my fave. The New Zealand Stargazer is one I haven’t considered. Up the more you talk about it - the more I am considering it the next time it goes on sale. I can’t wait to see what you do with th Fuji Five Lakes palette. This one and the Snow Lodge one though cute, haven’t hit me in the sweet spot to add to my wishlist just yet.

Hmm holiday plans is to avoid stress so I’m on low contact next week 😂😂😂. 2025 looks to be a year that will rock our world so I want low key, quiet with good entertainment for the rest of 2024. I don’t do resolutions for the New Year. This year will have one. I want to collect and hold tightly to good memories and keep my hands open when it comes to any negative experiences. They had a holiday palette a few years back that had my mouth watering. I think it was called Silent night. Complet ly agree with you this Calavera palette seems like it would be great for spring and summer. I quite liked the look you did - very nice!
