I agree with you about the Nomad Speakeasy palette. It’s cute but it’s too understated and I want a bit more oomph. But then after I finally picked up the Okavango palette a few months back after dismissing it as also too understated - I know I’ll probably pick up the Speakeasy palette (on a sale mind you) but it’s it in my no box. Out of the 7 Nomad palettes I have, I’ve only had one regret- I wish I had picked up the Ireland palette on a sale instead of when it launched. But I bout into those lush greens not realizing that on my deeper skin tone I need more of a mix of different types of greens in an 18 pan palette. I still like the palette but I find it best to use in companion with other palettes rather than stand alone. That being said, when it comes to Nomad, I like to let their releases simmer with me before I decide to pick them up

I find the Calaterra palette chaotic but it also has so many light shades which I fear will be ashy on me.

just stumbled upon this video and i have to say the shimmers look very appealing to me but i do wish blend bunny did more curated color schemes for their collabs rather than doing variations of rainbow palettes. i think the longing and sickly sweet palettes are great examples of curated color stories that they’ve done! this format of gradients/monochrome rows has gotten a bit repetitive for me. this is stunning if you don’t have any other blend bunny palettes but for me it’s a pass because it’s not very visually intriguing to me

Also update, I didn’t pick up the nomad one. I talked myself out of it tbh. I don’t think I’d use it

I really liked this palette! But I think the mini takes the cake between these two.

i was looking for someone to show me these shadows with a strong phone light, so i can get a proper idea of what they would look like under sunlight! i agree with wishing that they would have amped up the variety a bit more, or made the colours in this one a bit punchier. thanks a bunch for a great video and i love your hairstyle today! 🙂

Heya Jem, I'm here from The Conger Line (that's what I call Erica Conger's KZbin channel) and I have to agree with you. This was a bit of a disappointment out of the gate for me. I feel like if Blend Bunny had held off of releasing either the Ellis Atlantis or DaniDarkowitz collabs or both, this colour story would have stood out more. I just feel like those other two palettes took the wind out of this palette's sails. Oh yes, I'm still getting it as well, but still.... xox

I did buy this on launch day, but I haven't used it yet. I'm at my mother in law's in England just now and chose to bring cosmic palettes with me and left this one at home. I am a big purple lover, but worried I'm won't like it? Is it possibly a palette that needs another one to make it work?

I didn't know why I wasn't keen on it, but when you weren't keen on the top row I covered it and thought, oh that's nice. It totally threw me off! I think I have too many things on my list to grab it through, and it might be limited edition? 2 cosmic and 2 Arttitude palettes before the end of the year...

It’s very cute. I will probably pick it up when there is a sale but I like how the format is slightly different. I hope these shimmers are like the ones in Longing and the Little Miss palette. This one I think will be more interesting when you start creating looks than just when it’s swatched. I feel like it will be great to use with other palettes like the Little Miss or even Longing or even some older palettes like Blends. I’m a Blend Bunny fan and I also enjoy Robert immensely. If I didn’t have the earlier blend Bunny palettes (Blend, Surge, Primal), I would have gotten that big Ellis palette.

I love the grey and pinky-mauve rows and adore shimmers, but I was not expecting essentially a rainbow palette. Coming on the heels of the Ellis Atlantis and Little Miss She Never Misses collabs, this just doesn't feel as special as I'd hoped it would be. Since I do very much like and support Robert's content and Blend Bunny has amazing formulas, I may pick this up if the brand has holiday sales. Am trying to be more conscientious about purchases, though, and it's hard to justify another rainbow-ish palette purchase.

They could've removed the top two rows and it would've been more on theme. Just looks like all other BB palettes with more shimmers

I'm drawn to the last three deepest columns in this palette. Importing to South Africa is frightfully expensive, that's the main reason i haven't bought anything from BB yet. I totally get their signature rainbow format but...they're too attached to it at this point as you said in your danidarkowitz palette review. I love Robert too but i'll wait till he releases a much more purple-heavy palette.

I would really love an updated review on this from you because the typical BB stans are just singing it praises like every paletterhey come out with. And even at that price point, we shouldn't be getting quality that isn't up to the typical BB formula that everyone loves... Especially with their shimmers. Obviously we are not expecting them to be the more expensive Indie brand quality, but we should be able to get what we are expecting from them. And would absolutely love a review on the smaller palette as well! Maybe they could be combined, with the main focus being the smaller one and then just giving a little update on the larger once you have had a chance to use it more.

Both are pretty eye looks, the neutral look is more crisp, which is really striking 😍 I love your winged liner too. It's a shame that the shimmers performed more like satins, but the wet brush application of the orange shimmer on your lower lash line looked far more sparkly and reflective.

I felt that way about the Dark Fantasy palette. To me, that’s the worst Beauty Bay palette ever made!!! It’s disappointing when the shimmers don’t blow your socks off. I think that when you have experienced the phenomenal formula of indie brands, it sets the benchmark of what you expect a matte or a shimmer to be. BB has a good formula at a fantastic price point! I’m not going to buy this one since I’ve already got the age of opulence. I like this one more but it wouldn’t make any sense to buy it. I might get the small palette that’s in this “ collection “ .
