Hello, thank you for your business. You should be riding butter smooth on that setup so we would recommend searching our KZbin videos and you will find we have a sag setting video on Tri-Glides with rear AIR suspension and this should help you get setup perfectly. If you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to email [email protected] and our Customer Service Techs would be more than happy to answer any questions you might have. Thank you.

I bought a set of Revos 2 years ago. I could never turn them to adjust them. So I just left them. Revzilla didn't seem to want to help me with the problem. So I just left them. Gonna replace them with Wilbur's this spring.
@LegendSuspensions
@LegendSuspensions 22 күн бұрын
Have you tried contact us at Legend directly about this? We would be more than happy to help. Generally, the shocks would just need to have some lubrication applied to the springs and this will loosen them right up. If for some reason that did not correct the issue Customer Service would be happy to fix or replace them for you. If you apply a silicone-based lubrication to the spring seat touching the threads and just working them back and forth a little bit, they should become butter smooth to turn. Sometimes factory lubrication can wear off during storage or shipping and may need to be reapplied from time to time as basic service. Please feel free to email [email protected] and we would be more than happy to assist.

How do you compensate for the saddlebags and contents when calculating the turns for the 1" sag? is it even necessary to figure that out? I ride my 2019 Ultra Limited most often without the tour pack and would adjust whenever I put it back on. Just not clear on the saddlebags & weight. Thank
@LegendSuspensions
@LegendSuspensions 22 күн бұрын
We would generally weigh the saddlebags or tour pack. but saddlebags have a loaded weight rating of 25lbs per bag. on 13" Shocks with a 110-standard spring, each 360-degree rotation of each spring will increase preload by right about 20lbs so, adding a turn to each spring will increase your preload weight by 50lbs and you can account for weight this way. If you are setting suspension sag with rider(s) on the bike and bags off, just set the sag for 3/4" of an overall measurement of 12-1/4" and then when you add the bags you should be right about perfect. We hope this answers your questions, if you need further assistance, please feel free to email us directly [email protected].

The person who installed my cartridges didn’t align the logo properly, and my OCD has been kicking in every time I ride. Is it easy to align the logo?
@LegendSuspensions
@LegendSuspensions Ай бұрын
That is not okay haha. We spot it every time. The fork stanchion will spin independently of the lower slider, so it is easy to fix, as long as you do it correctly. 1) Put a jack under the bike and just barely take the weight off but keep the front wheel touching the ground or lift. Take a measurement of how much fork tube protrudes from the top of the triple tree (in most cases it will be flush. 2) You will just slightly loosen your pinch bolts until you can spin the fork tube and align it correctly. 3) Snug one bolt back up so it stays in desired position. 4) Remove one bolt at a time and reapply preferred lock tight to pinch bolt and snug up (not torqued yet) just snug. 5) Remove, re-lock tight other pinch bolts and snug them all up, double check everything is in the correct position before re-torquing. Blue 243 Lock tight should do the trick, red can be used (sparingly) 6) Retorque pinch bolts to factory spec. 7) Remove jack. Seems like a lot but pretty quick fix. Reach out to [email protected] with any questions and we would be happy to help.

I have a 2010 triglide , i definitely noticed the difference for the rear suspension I got the coil shocks with the preload adjuster knob , I haven’t moved the knob yet from wat it came on I think it’s on 3 don’t remember but I haven’t had a passanger yet but I certainly noticed the difference in corners and even hitting potholes my trike jerks less in the rear , I still have stock front suspension never had a problem yet but I do wonder if the legend front suspension does reduce the vibration in the front end because I have a big motor in my trike I got rid of the stock 103 and I have a 111 S&s motor in my trike lol sounds crazy I know lol but I am wondering on the legend front suspension now

Hello, thank you for your business and feedback. We do truly feel the front suspension improves a lot of the Tri-Glides as the front suspension is quite soft and allows a lot of bumps to just blow right through, especially at higher speeds, the weight of the machine makes that even worse. If you have any questions, please feel to email us directly at [email protected] and we would be more than happy to chat about what you're feeling in the front end and how we can correct it. There is also a good number of other things, replacing your front suspension will do to improve the overall handling and ride quality.

Should you use a 1” lowering kit on the 14” so your not sitting to high in the rear vs the front?
@LegendSuspensions
@LegendSuspensions 2 ай бұрын
Hello- We really only recommend the 14" rear shocks if you are running a longer than stock front suspension, such as our 2+ Axeo Performance kits. If you are not running a longer than stock front suspension, then we only suggest the 13" Revo-ARC's. We never recommend running any kind of lowering kits as they alter the suspensions geometry, which makes them harder to adjust correctly, degrades the ride quality and can potentially void shocks warranty. We hope this answers your questions, if you have any additional questions, please feel free to email us directly [email protected] and we would be happy to help.

Hi, I will buy the REVO-A ST shock for my 2014 CVO Deluxe. why the products are two mono shocks? the OE shock is one mono shock and why the installation position is different between REVO-A and OE shock?

Hello- On the 2014 model your shocks will mount in the standard position. In 2018 the Softail had a design change and went to a Mono shock design. The 2-shock setup or mono shock setup is the same, it just depends on what model and year of bike you have. On www.legendsuspensions.com if you use our bike finder at the top of the site it will show you all of the options for your bike, we offer coil shocks, AIR suspension as well as front suspension for your bike. We hope this answers your questions, if you need further assistance, please feel free to email [email protected] and one of our techs would be more than happy to go into further details with you.

Will this fit a 2003 XLH?
@LegendSuspensions
@LegendSuspensions 2 ай бұрын
The 0414-0547 would be compatible with all '88-'22 sportsters except XL Sport. This model does require longer than stock fork tubes, the length of 26.25" long. This kit is 5" of suspension travel and has 1.25" of built in suspension sag, so with fork tube adjustment it can essentially be taller than stock or you can make it very close to stock depending on where you set the fork tube height in the triple trees and depending on the length of rear suspension you are running. We hope this helps, if you have any additional question, please feel free to email [email protected] and we would be more than happy to work with you on specs to ensure you get the exact setup that you want or need for your bike.

Hello, it depends what year of Dyna you are looking to install 1" longer shocks on, there are many models that had different lengths or rear shock. We have a video on possible upgrades or changes you'd need for going to something like 14" shocks. Say you have something like a Stock 2013 Street Bob with 12" shocks and 1" longer rear shocks making them 13" is generally no issue. It really depends on your setup. I switched from the regular Axeo cartridges to the Comforts. I really liked my original set up, but it lowered my bike in the front about 3/4 of inch. This reduced my lean angle which resulted in me dragging the front cylinder heat shield when making aggressive right hand leans. The comforts restored the factor ride height but also maintained a planted ride with more comfort. I also have 13 inch Revo-As on the back.

Have these on all 3 of my baggers and I cant seem to get them right. I have them all at setting 1 on the rebound adjuster and will move it to 3 and see how that is. My main issue is trying to set sag with a passenger. Sux that it requires 3 people to set the shock up correctly (2 to be on the bike and the 3rd to measure). Seems there should be a weight graph matched with number of turns to help with that.

Hi I’ve a dyna low rider 17’ and I don’t know if I take 13" or 14". If I ll take 14" do you know if I need to up my front fork ? It’s because I stunt
@LegendSuspensions
@LegendSuspensions 4 ай бұрын
Hello, On your Dyna the first thing to look at is your exhaust, as this is a limiting factor on if 14" shocks will fit. 1) The muffler will need to be shorter than the rear lower shocks mount. 2) You can put a jack under the bike and remove both lower shock bolts and raise the bike till the mounting holes are 14" apart to see how it would look or feel. 3) If you go with 14" rear shocks, we generally always recommend the use of a 2+ front suspension as well to keep the rake and trail working well. If you are way taller in the rear of the bike the handling can be very twitchy, but some like it depending on the application. 13" works well with stock front suspension lengths, 14" is possible but we don't often recommend it unless you plan to do a 2+ on the front at a later time and you are just doing upgrades a bit at a time. Spring rate is important and in just about all cases on a Dyna but especially on a bike that sees stunts we recommend Heavy Duty Spring rate for the rear shocks. We hope this answers your questions, if you need further assistance, please feel free to email [email protected] or our website has a live chat feature that goes directly to Customer Service as well. Thank you.

@LegendSuspensions
@LegendSuspensions 4 ай бұрын
Hello, Yes, to a certain degree you do have some height adjustment based on where your suspension sag is set. The Revo-ARC has a 1-1/4" suspension sag range so on something like a 14" shock if you set the sag at 1/2" the shocks ride height would be 13-1/2" VS a full 1" of sag the shock would sit at 13" and so on. This would give you some ride height adjustment.

@LegendSuspensions
@LegendSuspensions 5 ай бұрын
Hello, there is absolutely a fix for this. If the Trike is lower in the back, it should be corrected as this would be part of the issue. Trikes tend to sit low in the back from the factory and if you add two people this will make the ride even worse. If you have suspension other than stock on the Trike, we recommend having the suspension sag set correctly. It could be that the shocks are bottoming out and causing the bouncing or the shocks could be too stiff and making the ride bouncy. IF the bike has Legend Suspensions on it then please email [email protected] and let them know what you are experiencing, and they will help correct it. If you do not have our suspension, you can still email them, and they would be happy to diagnose your issue and let you know how to correct it for good.

Hey there, we would recommend lubricating the threads on the shocks if you are finding them hard to turn. any silicone-based lubrication should do the trick, we use WD-40 specialist series with PTFE in it and it makes them buttery to turn them. Lubricating shocks is one of the only basic maintenances we recommend as you can pick up things like dust and road grime and if they get in the threads, it can make them harder to turn. so, keep them clean and it will help the shocks and seals last longer.

Hey there, if while solo you find the ride to be too firm because it is setup for two people, we suggest taking some of the turns of preload out of the springs, depending on your length of shocks you will want to reset the suspension sag, and we have How To videos on this. There is generally a happy medium to be had where you can support your passenger and still be happy solo. It just takes a little adjusting to see where you like it best.
