You talk about UR like it’s some redneck school but the largest percentage of students there are from the northeast. Second largest is the mid Atlantic. It’s hardly a ‘southern’ school. Sometimes we see what we want to see and look for reasons to justify our lack of satisfaction with things.

I find loading/unloading dish washers more of a hazle then handwashing and drying put everything away right away

We are planning on turning our garage into a bedroom just because we need the extra space and we don’t see ourselves being able to buy a bigger house anytime soon but the house is in my boyfriends name and we’ll be giving the master bedroom to my mom and taking the garage for ourselves because the master is actually very small, and im worried that we will get pitied or feel like we live with her rather than her living with us lol

dunno if its even a Garage as that's where Cars are stored... Since you live in it, Its just a small home with a convertible wall! very cool!!!

I would split the upper room into two parts by making a hallway leading to the bathroom all rooms connect to w/ very thoughtful furnishings for the two small spaces this would create, like drop down beds that fill the whole space, to lift up for daily office mode, etc. This might provide everyone a private space of their own. Just a thought! 🤔

I too live in a renovated garage this huge house has 7 units and I'm very happy im on the bottom ground it's pretty big... it's safe warm and very blessed to have a beautiful home... I just want to cover up the garage door so planning to make shelving and going to have canvas paintings ... that's a really nice place... awesome ❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊

I think the privacy thing matters more when there are opposite sex members in the family. It is good that you are all close & get along! That helps. I do have a question about space - why is the second floor so much less floor space than the garage level? If it was big enough, a hallway could be built off the bathroom to keep the upstairs bedroom private.
