This was just what I was looking for - I had to replace a cracked screen on a C340-11 (model # 81TA000BUK) and the guide was a complete match - it not exactly the same model, very very similar. Thank you!

Awesome instructions. Worked great - however an explanation on how to remove the rivets for the keyboard would have been helpful. After searching online I found a suggestion of using a screwdriver and hammer, I used a paint scraper and hammered slightly upward to pop the rivets out. Only messed up twice at the start, with the rivet sheared off at the top and left in place.

Glad it helped! I got fairly lucky with the one I did and didn't have many left in there, few enough that they weren't worth removing, but in other jobs I used a small flat metal screwdriver and hammer.

Really depends on whether it is 1 x 8GB or 2 x 4GB. The dual-channel configuration will be quite a bit quicker.

Haha, I changed my CPU without turning off TPM and it caused my pin to not work and i forgot the password haha, thanks this tutorial worked! Windows security is kind of a joke for local accounts but atleast i didn't have to reinstall

Yes. The alternative is to replace the whole palmrest with keyboard fitted, but that's more expensive.

Did all of these, cleaned the heat sink (it was full of dust) cleaned the fan, replaced thermal paste with arctic but when is on power plug and watch video temp goes around 85-89 Celsius 😢

If I install an additional 2.5 inch SATA SSD, which one will be the primary drive? The M.2 SSD or the 2.5 inch SATA SSD? For context, my Dell Inspiron 15 3501 came with the M.2 SSD and an empty SATA drive compartment

If you already have an M.2 drive then it will be the OS drive and listed as C: The new drive once partitioned and formatted would be D:

The cloning process was fast, from a 2TB to a 1TB. At startup once cloned and installed on the laptop, it didn´t recognized the drive but when I turned off and back on it worked fine. No issues so far, tnks for the video. HP Laptop i7 8th Gen

No software update or pairing needed, you just replace the battery.

I had another question, I have a Dell Inspiron 3501 (bought it on 15th Jan 2021), it's battery is "Dell 42wh YRDD6 11.4v 3500mah" when I was searching on Dell's official page(India) for the same battery model, under the compatible list it had all the "Inspiron 15 3000" series laptops except mine. So I am not sure whether to place the order for it or not. Website says the battery is compatible for Inspiron 3502 but it didn't mention Inspiron 3501 over there

Only that you can go to 32GB later. Using a single stick will half memory bandwidth and reduce performance.

Looking at pictures the 840 G5 or G6 ones seem to be the same size, as well as connector type and positioning. G7 and G8 are different. I couldn't guarantee they'll work though.
