I found prying the chasis from the base the most challenging part but got one stick of ram in. I'm going to give it another go soon as I can now afford the second stick of memory to make 32GB.

Bro i need help pls. i bought r5 5625u 8gb ram laptop. Then i inserted another 8gb ram with same mhz for make it 8x2 dual channel. Then i upgrade the gpu memory to 4gb from bios. When it was 8 gb ram, GTA 5 was running at 30 fps. After that ram upgrade its still 30 fps, Nothing has changed. Did i something wrong?

I had no idea about the retaining screws and I almost carelessly tried ripping off the backplate. You have my heartfelt gratitude, thanks for making this video.

Once back open first thing done was on top right of battery involving something or other before the batteries removed on the battery but the left hand was completely obscuring the thing being done at top right which I was some kind of making sure it is disconnected before taking battery out. I will have a look in mine now.

Thank you for doing a proper teardown. Too many nonsense videos on youtube by creators who sadly understand how to game the ranking algorithm. Really disappointing Acer left out that second SSD connector. Also the RAM is insufficient and with it being non-upgradable it means the laptop can essentially go into the trash. Which is likely the intention behind selling these cheap and underpowered devices. The less upgradable and the less capacity/compute they have, the sooner the user needs a new device.

Excellent video. Thanks to this one, I moved my original Hynix 2230 256GB SSD to slot 2 and installed a 2280 1TB Crucial SSD in Slot 1. All in just 15 minutes. Worked super! Nothing else was required, the OS booted without an issue. Just formatted the new disk and it was ready to be loaded
