Colors are good but all the pics look foggy

I'm a complete beginner to photography and bought this camera for fun. What do you mean by "overexposure is better than underexposure"? Is this something I can control while shooting or is it something to keep in mind when developing the film?

I know for indoors it is recommended to turn on flash always but do u also recommend this even if there is a lot of light/sunlight indoors or only when it is darker indoors? Which film do you prefer? Where in from, ultramax 400 is cheaper than gold 200. But today i found a good deal on the latter. I just like 400 for the versatility but gold 200 looks so pretty in very sunny days. Does the 400 iso makes for extremely overexposed pics on sunny days?

really nice video! the low contrast mostly comes from the filmstock itself and the way it was developed. I haven't shot kentmere pan 400 myself but I've seen lots of examples and this particular film always has low contrast. Using a SLR and pushing it might be interesting.

I nearly bought myself a Kodak Ektar too until my grandparents gave me a Canon AF35M II, still functional after 40 years 🥹

I am a high school art teacher and my experience is with fully manual student cameras like the Nikon FM10. This is a light weight plastic camera that is easy to carry around and is not too heavy. It is fully manual and forces you to learn quickly. It is a balancing act between the shutter and the aperture. Once you are in focus and the light meter is in a neutral position, you are free to take the shot. I don't know how the metering works on the Canon A1. If you find it difficult, you could try a light meter app on your phone. With film do not go below 1/60 of a second as you have no image stabilisation and will need a tripod to go slower. Also with indoor and low lighting shots you will need a flash or a high ISO film.

This content is so appreciated for when I inevitably get an SLR and take lousy photos on it. We all start somewhere! Also love how you captured Sydney in your H35 vid 😊

I have a question. How do you take 72 exposures cause i also got mine but i think i only got 36 cause it seems like i immediately finished the film role and everytime i role the (u know the thing that u roll everytime u press the shutter) so how am i gonna get 72 exposures?
