Hi, Ruds, thanks for all your reviews over the years. If you still check your comments, I wonder if you can suggest a replacement for my no-longer-sold favorite tobacco, The Artisan Soap Shoppe's Humidor Tallow? Humidor's notes are "spanish cedar and tobacco". Here's what I've tried already and how it compared: (1) Catie's Bubbles, Connecticut Shade (good but "brighter" so less of an all-season scent than Humidor); (2) House of Mammoth, Shire (like Connecticut Shade but even brighter); (3) House of Mammoth, Tobacconist (both too mild overall and a bit too smoky for my purpose); (4) Soap Commander, Fortitude (too much "smoke" for me); (5) Uncle Jon's, Pipe Smoke (I really liked it but remember it being a bit deeper tobacco and with pronounced cherry); (6) St. James of London, Tonka and Tobacco Flower (besides being a cream, I remember it being good and close but more floral and subtle?). Any help is most welcome!

The results I have had with the Bevel Brush have been very good. I WOULD recommend this brush. Only three other brushes I have for comparison, but this Bevel brush creates a lather very easily, needs less than ten minutes soak time, both holds and delivers lather well. Thirty dollars at some Target stores so often easy to find and not too expensive.

Hi, Rude, thank you for the great video! I’m currently debating between the WR1 with a 0.80 gap and the WR2 with either a 1.05 or 1.35 gap. Could you share your thoughts on which one provides a smoother shaving experience overall? I’m looking for a balance of efficiency and comfort. Appreciate your insights!

Many variations are possible. One is take a bit of soap and flatten onto the bottom of a bowl, and take a dampened brush and first build a paste (with some added water). Then use this paste to brush onto the face for continuing with a face lather.

Top 1 shave soap, you put in 90 because you don't really know what you are talking about. BTW, you irritate the fuck out of your face man. It makes sense you review this shave soap so low, you don't even know how to use the blade properly so you don't butcher your face red like that.

HERE IS AN EASY WAY TO DO IT MY FRIENDs" I Do any Shave Pucks or hard Soaps are going to work? You can mix and match old Soaps? to fit in any Mugs or Cups that you like to use. Like (Mitchells' Wool Fat or Arko Shave Soaps just to name a few of the ones you could use?) Cut the bar soap up, put in a mug, cover the soap with a small amount of water, microwave for a minute or so? If it foams up, STOP. The water keeps it from burning itself up. (DON'T OVER WATER YOUR SOAP??) Easy, does it? Let cool don't want to Crack the Mugs or Cups you're using? (You just want it to Congeal in your Mug or Cup') place in the Sun, until Soap hardens? When using Dry Brush Less Water. For its (Price Point?)' (I use Dove Bar Soaps?) (Use any Soaps Out there ??) Save your Money, Spend it on your wife, Don't listen to the shave Mafia. Good review. It’s Nov 2023 now…and I just ordered a T2 SS with stand on a Black Friday sale with an additional discount. My total purchase price was $148. The Rex Ambassador costs $295 plus $40 or 50 for the stand. This means that my Rockwell T2 SS was about half of what an Ambassador would cost. I have been very impressed with my T2 SS so far. The finish on it looks like a piece of industrial art….and mechanically it is flawless….so smooth. My shaves have been great….usually 6-4 for WTG…3 for XTG and ATG….with BBS outcomes every time. It has become my every day driver…over my 6S and 6C. The TTO feature and blade adjustment on the fly….are so quick and convenient to use. The Ambassador is a great razor also….but is too expensive for me. In reviews that I’ve read….I have a hunch that it would be too aggressive for me. I also like the TTO feature of the T2 much better than taking off the top plate of the Ambassador. Your tastes may vary. That’s why we have horse races.

nice vid rudy,,,but just a little suggestion on karve (plates)...remember each plate not only changes in blade gap but also the blade exposure also changes. Gap is just one element and not the whole picture. Now you are one of the best for feeding us important info where other talk off topic and talk in depth abour soaps and scents. Half the vid is a waste of time. You are always spot on, on topic and informative which I truly apprecidate!

I've been smelling this Firefighter soap very closely, and I seem to detect Iso-e-super in this soap... anyone else pick up on this? Not sure if I will be able to use this, as the Iso-e-super note makes me feel queezy. I've also noticed the new AOS Sandalwood soap definitely has Iso-e-super present, and that one also, I just don't think I will be able to use it. Anyone know if the current cream formulation of AOS sandal has this chemical in it?

Am I doing something wrong? I have been shaving with Gillette since I was 16 (5 years ago) and recently got one of these and it just doesn't cut my contours of my face well and irritates my skin. Am I using it wrong? I tried to use the correct angle and all, should I ask for a refund?
