Hi Ruds, I’m in! My three favorite soap bases (at the moment) are Ariana & Evans Kaizen, Grooming Department Karios, and Wholly Kow Siero. A very close fourth and fifth are Barrister & Mann PP8 and Barrister & Mann Excelsior soap bases. There just so many really great choices in an excellent and talented artisan community. Thank you Ruds, for doing this give away and for your always informative and helpful soap reviews.

I'm in! Top three bases currently are M&M Kodiak, Ethos, and a tiebreaker for the third spot is Milksteak and ZM Sego. I have trouble hydrating the last two sometimes and end up having my lather dry out mid shave, but they're both still great bases.

Hi Rudd, please count me in. Enjoyed the review. Currently I’m going Italian with Tcheon Fung Sing’s new vegan base in Rabarbaro Italiano (strawberries and raspberries, fa la la), and Sapaonificio Bignoli’s shave cream Liquirizia E Menta (licorice and mint, it’s crazy but I love it.)

Not in. I have been very fortunate in receiving soaps and would prefer not to shorten odds for someone else. Excellent review, Ruds! This soap looks really good with an interesting scent. You are right about the owners Mary and Chris of HSSC. If folks like to support down to earth, real artisans, Mary and Chris fit the bill. Great looking lather, too! Thanks! Love your soap reviews. I am a fan of Highland Springs Soap Co. I am currently using their vegan based Havana Vieja. Haven’t tried their tallow based shave soap yet. Based on your extensive experience in wet shaving, how would you compare HSSC tallow base to that of Stirling? See yah.

Another sweet review. Haven’t tried HSSC but ‘I’m In!’ and would love to add them to my vastly growing den. Whew, all these 99’s keep adding up. Can you possibly review Mitchell’s or RazoRock soap(not puck)? Just to bring into perspective how good the soaps are now. I happen to really enjoy Mitchell’s and RazoRock, both have crazy slickness. PP-8 A & E prior to Kaizen Sego Top three bases at this moment
