@@dendj55 hello ruds I had yesterday my first shave with this brush . And what can I say it’s my best brush . So soft tips it’s amazing . My DG B9A+ is also amazing but not so soft like the everset K2

I have that exact brush and was lucky to get it at April 2019 prices ($235 + shipping). It's worth that price, but outside of my comfort zone at the new pricing model. I think the knot hangs in with a couple Declaration Grooming and Paladin offerings from the knot perspective.

That Everset brush retailed for $235 when it was sold last spring. It’s the new ones that are really expensive (since the Varlet went to a semi-custom order model).

Great review, Ruds. It should be noted that the spectrum of price (in our hobby) stretches far and wide. There are clearly those who can afford, and would be willing to pay for, this brush. Appreciate your effort! I'm sure it's quite an experience to lather up with that bad boy. 👍

Absolutely insane price tag. Good luck The Varlet. I can’t think of a single reason this brush justifies its price. And honestly, I think businesses as this one can’t add anything to our hobby.

The handle is my most fundamental issue with The Varlet for $400-$500+ price range. It's fine for under $250, but, for double that price tag, it better be the handle that dreams are made of.

Excellent review as always, Ruds! I truly don't begrudge anybody who can afford one of these brushes and it certainly fills a void in the market. That said, if I spent $425+ on a shaving brush, Mrs. Blade4vor would fill a void in ME! Nevermind sleeping in the dog house, I'd be under the dog house. Maybe I'm overstating my case. Thank you for your support. The knot is more luxurious feeling than my Chubby 2 Super, but not nearly as dense. Very different overall experience.
