My air box has something that looks like a tube would connect to something, it’s on the front bottom of the air box. I originally thought it connected to that three tube connection off the valve cover

The biggest problem i saw was the gasket sealer. When you tighten the pan the sealant gets inside with the fluid and can cause problems down the road. Overall, great video and thanks for showing me whay not to do. Im prone to these types of mistakes.

For anyone who also had a busted Fill tube: the Dorman 921-129 on Amazon was only $36. I just installed it, it wasn’t that hard, and it’s definitely worth doing. The reason they break is the top bracket is welded on the tube from the factory. The Dorman replacement is crimped around the tube with rubber in between, so it can be moved/rotated around the tube, thereby getting rid of the rigidity that causes the tube to break.

Hey, I noticed on your vacuum hose that you have the fuel pressure regulator one coming from the 5 way splitter. Mine comes from the 3 way splitter. The one from my 5 way splitter goes to the map sensor. I checked the manual and that is correct. So my question is.. does your bike run okay with it hooked up like that?
@jeffhumesАй бұрын
it ran fine up until I sold the bike. but you should always go with what the manual states! thanks for watching!

That is why I don't mess with the pan itself. I would either get a mess or ruined transmission.

If you ever saw a Nissan with a CVT it is the same since they used the same CVTs. Even that filter is the same. I found that changing that filter all by itself makes a huge difference in smoothness. My 2017 Rogue has the plug in the pan and it uses the same crush washer as the oil plug which I thought was really nice. If I had no plug on the pan I would get an extractor and run that down the dipstick tube. Just make sure that what you put in there is clean

I know this is 3 years later but if you leave the clutch plates in while you take out that center nut for the clutch basket it will loosen right up just put some pressure on the plates with your fingers and broom it comes right off

Hey! I've seen your videos before, and they seem super helpful to someone who owns an F4i (me!). I too have an F4i and was wondering if you could help me go about an issue I'm having. The previous owner lowsided the bike on the left side, the stator cover is busted, and it broke off one of the threaded "ears" that the bolt would go through(only on the bottom half of the crank case). It leaks bad from the stator cover, and I was wondering if it's possible to split the bottom half of the crankcase without having to tear apart the top end, as I don't want to fully rebuild the engine. I have an additional block, and was thinking that I could either get the ear aluminum welded and tapped, or replace the bottom crank case. What are your thoughts on how I should go about this?

If the cv joint was accidentally removed and fluid was lost. How much fluid was actually lost just from removing one CV joint? 3-4 quarts, maybe? Thanks....

Hello, I just had a quick question, and I know your probably one of the best to ask. Would first like to point out your impressive brain on working on engines. But I have a 01 CBR600f4i but every time I give it a good amount of throttle at around 7k RPM or more, the RPM will stutter, and the bike will jerk me forward. Another question I had was when I give the bike throttle, I will hear shaking after, like a bottle of BB's is what it sounds like. In your opinion, could the first problem be fuel injectors, and could the second problem be the cam chain tensioner? Would be grateful if you got back to me, appreciate the teardown videos.

WRONG CONNECTIONS...... AT 04:15 MINUTES.... THERE IS NO GASOLINE LEVEL..... THEN THE TANK IS FULL..... DOWNLOAD THE MANUAL FIRST AND STUDY IT WELL BEFORE DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY..... HOW CAN YOU WORK WITHOUT EQUALIZING THE CARBURETTORS? I FIND THIS DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY STRANGE, VERY STRANGE.... VALVES MIXED, WITHOUT BEING TURNED OR EQUALIZING CARBURETTORS? HOW DID THE BITCH GET IT?
@MECANICA_NA_GARAGEM4 ай бұрын
05:20 MINUTES WRONG ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE FUCK..... WHAT I SEE IS THE WALLS OF THE VALVE CUPS ALL SCRATCHED BECAUSE OF THE HURRY IN DISASSEMBLY. I'M NO LONGER GOING TO COMMENT ANYTHING MORE ABOUT THIS ENGINE BECAUSE IN ADDITION TO PUTTING THE WRONG SCREWS IN PLACES I SHOULDN'T HAVE... DID NOT STUDY FIRST OR READ THE MANUAL FOR CORRECT DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY OF THE ENGINE. THIS ENGINE IS DEAD.
@MECANICA_NA_GARAGEM4 ай бұрын
Wrong location of the metal washer. 15:05 minutes YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THE MANUAL BEFORE DISASSEMBLY AND DURING ASSEMBLY. THIS ENGINE MUST BE OPENED AGAIN. 17:55 minutes Take a good look at the figure and where the sealant should be placed. you put it in the wrong place. 18:25 MINUTES The sealant must not be dry before closing the pieces, but rather when it is placed to ensure that the pieces fit well. The blocks are rectified and measured for each other and never exchanged with similar ones. They are the same but the measurements are different. THE SEALANT SHOULD NOT HAVE DRIED BEFORE CLOSING. 32:00 MINUTES WRONG SCREWS

so much, perhaps a good hundreds of engines that I have seen opened and some that I have opened..... this is the first one that I have seen opened and has the combustion chambers as clean as if it had left the factory..... . although it is clear that something has already been wandering around inside the third cylinder. and before opening this head, which apparently was opened shortly before this work, if you had downloaded the manual you would understand that it is not by force that you separate precision parts. This head gasket is from Aliexpress.... What's more, that head is warped, or it was. There is a procedure for dismantling and assembling engines, be it one cylinder or 12. the way he did things, it was out of mere curiosity of what this engine is like inside and how it comes apart. DID NOT READ THE MANUAL. IF YOU HAD READ IT I WOULD NOT SAY WHAT I SAID ABOUT THE DRIVE CHAIN OR THE GUIDE
@MECANICA_NA_GARAGEM4 ай бұрын
Jesus..... The person or mechanic who tinkered with this engine before was either stupid or a first-rate swindler. A screwdriver as a lever???? And more seriously, did it rest on the part of the piece that touches the valve shimm??? Do you know what you were doing?

If the transmission is pulled out of the vehicle, or the torque converter is fully drained then you will need 7.5 quarts. A simple drain and fill: 5 quarts +/-

How is it possible to break the end of the crankshaft? Who has any idea?
@jeffhumes5 ай бұрын
cam and crankshafts are actually very brittle pieces of machinery lengthwise, they are made to be very strong in a twisting motion, but you can easily crack/break them just by dropping them. could be that someone before you dropped it?
@CBRiderMT5 ай бұрын
@@jeffhumes Well I broke not by dropping it but by riding the bike, Even if previous owner dropped the bike it wouldn't survive that long without showing up. So that's really strange...
