OP really has such a knack for explaining a concept in a way that pierces through any veil of obfuscation. It's akin to a song that hits a nerve in the right way for a particular mood, but the nerve in this case is the one that leads directly to the "Oh!" sector of understanding for a given topic or idea

4:36 In this example, how do the router and switch bring the data to the correct computer? The switch only knows MAC addresses, but the data packet coming from the internet has an IP address destination. Does the router translate the IP address to a MAC address and then sends the data to the switch?

Okey, but what if there is fourth serwer that should be visible to any of those PC's and Serwers, or what if 1 of those PC's should have access to all 3/4 serwers ?

FORWARD PROXY BENEFITS - Reguates traffic out of a network - (private n/w - forward proxy - internet) 1. WebServer Does not know which client is making request - ip of proxy server is visible so - better security - web servers can t hack client - to protect client 2. Proxy can be used to log user activity 3. many schools an govt org restricts access to certain sites - connecting to proxy allows us to connect it to the sites 4. can store copies of websute (cache database inside proxy) - reduces latency REVERSE PROXY BENEFITS - Regulates traffic into a network - (internet - reverse proxy - private n / w of a company hosting webservices) 1. client does not know which web server its making request to - only ip of reverse proxy is visible - hence client cant hack webservers - prevents DDOS attack - to protect server 2. load balancing

The different VLANs can still communicate with each other, right? How is this achieved and managed?
@TodorTashev
@TodorTashev 3 күн бұрын
My question is whether a device from one VLAN can see and talk to another device on another VLAN.
@JJFlores197
@JJFlores197 Күн бұрын
By default, VLANs cannot talk to each other. You will need a router to allow inter-VLAN routing. You can also use a firewall to prevent or manage VLANs from communicating with each other.

I'm definitely gonna pickup a 5ghz. I only have a 2.4 flash drive pretty much and it picks up my neighbors wifi. Which is probably causing my slow speeds. My phone is capable for 5ghz.

I have two new portable external hard drives. One is a 8TB SSD, the other is a 2TB HDD. I use them for storing my digital photos (raw files and sidecar edits). I'm a photographer. My 8 TB SSD drive keeps getting an error message saying it is unusable, but I'm not sure why. How should this SSD drive be formated. I'm running a PC and a laptop, both using Windows 10 Professional.
