Love my bass baby. Mine is 8 foot and I fished it with me and brother in law once comfortably. You can have 2 in the 10 ft easily. Congrats and happy fishing.

@donniedarko1345 sry last question. How's the stability with wakes? I mainly fish in lakes where jetsking etc is allowed. Kinda sucks

Too many stairs on main trail now. Trail was actually easier in the early 90's. Older now too...

What kind of truck do you have? Is that a Tundra or a Tacoma? Been wondering if it would fit in my Tacoma
@donniedarko13452 ай бұрын
Straight up stock Tacoma. It does have the 6.5” bed though. Even if you got a shorty bed you should be fine. The boat is amazing!!!

Awesome boat! I love mine. You can get a digital voltage readout in the cigarette plug style for the battery box. It gives a more accurate read on your battery life.

Not a safe spot barefoot, a ray is so lightning fast with that barb. I love surf fishing. All the rays are looking for what you are using. A good day to catch some Rays at the beach😊

How’s east coast life? All I remember is Humidity and mosquitoes
@donniedarko1345 Жыл бұрын
So far so good. It was 80 today and for the first time I put my air conditioning on in my car. Grew up in NJ and I remember the humidity, bugs and ALLERGIES!!! I live in Asheville now and the temp in the summer is rather mild. Being at 2100 feet above sea level, the temp and humidity here is tolerable. I'll give you an update in Mid-August LOL!

Ponto beach in Carlsbad. The spot he is fishing in the begining is technically illigal. Not sure if it was back then, but it's a wild life preserve now. I just got a ticket for fishing that spot. You can only fish that spot closer to the west, pretty much under the bridge and on towards the ocean. If you go to that spot, don't walk past the green run down fence. Beyond that fence is the preserve

Was that a dark spot on top of his head? the spotfin..??
@donniedarko1345 Жыл бұрын
The Spotfin Croaker is named because of the black spot on the pectoral fin. The weird markings on this ones head was an anomaly....maybe a pigment defect. I've never seen a spotfin with that black tattoo like marking before.

@donniedarko1345 Жыл бұрын
20lb braid to a barrel weight, to a plastic bead, to a swivel, to a Flurocarbon leader (10lb test, 2-3 feet), to a mosquito hook. Try to find crabs about the size of your thumbnail with roe. My reel is a a smaller 2000 size Penn Battle 3, rod is a light action, 5'6" Uglystick.

Thanks! Yup, been catch and release for almost 3 decades. There's a ton of great info out there on gear and how to fish for your targeted species. Blacks is one of the best places in SD to surf fish. Good luck!

Lake Hodges is where I found the love and passion for freshwater fishing over 2 decades ago when water ran under the 15 and kept going. I remember hiking in the dark early morning then finding a spot of boiling water(shad everywhere). Throw anything in u catching a bass. Now it’s all dried up and vegetation everywhere
