Please allow me to state my theory: Hasbro, with full knowledge of the Brony community's history of child endangerment and perversion of the source material, grew tired of the community's existence, and in order to keep them from utterly destroying their I.P., decided to have G5 in a new direction. G5 was created with some loose elements of G4, but created new elements that would completely throw off the members of the community. Hasbro wanted MLP to go back to appealing it's intended child audience, and hopefully destroy the community and it's emotionally-stunted adult members in the process, but like cockroaches, they persisted & it's presence can still be noticed to this day. Long story short: the community should have disbanded when G5 started, and the I.P. of MLP will continue to be perverted until Hasbro finds a way to completely destroy the community and it's members in the process.

5:28 A flawed as this show is, this would've been a nice cliffhanger for Chapter 6 as this show could've really used some tension. I imagine Misty slowly turning around and hyperventilating like when Puss in boots sees Lobo/death (quick scenes of her mistreatment flashing her mind). Opaline thinks she sees Misty, but she narrowly escapes. After arriving home and telling her friends she saw Opaline, the sky darkens with clouds and you can hear Opaline's laugh echoing. If anything, Misty should've been in constant fear ever since coming clean to Sunny's friends: she knows that when Opaline finds out she'll be furious and she'll have to face her sooner or later

I like your ideas to fix the episode! Tbh I also had way too many problems with the episode, it is easily my least favorite of the whole chapter, and one of them was how the Hitch plot was handled. Honestly, it wasn't even just the fact that the plot was completely forgotten, I think the plot was flawed from the start. If you ask me the citizens are the ones who should learn the lesson, by dismissing all of Hitch's hard work for the sake of getting an activity THEY could benefit something material from, and for seemingly being just as dismissive about Hitch's Nightmare Night ideas every year ('Cause we do see Hitch freak out as soon as he sees he's not generating any excitement...Granted, I think this is OOC, because in the movie it is portrayed that the citizens absolutely adore him and he's very well-aware of that fact, but whatever 😒)

Will there ever be a single pony with both parents alive in G5? I guess it woudn't bother me if they were at least implied as existing at some point. But we never see Sunny's portrait of her mother or Zipps portrait of her father even if he was the king. Misty also doesn't ask Alphabittle about her mom. It feels like ponies breed asexualy through mitosis or that everyone was adopted.

I wonder if Elderflowers story about Dawn will tie with the book about alicorns. Was the "spider" in her story the mysterious alicorn from Skyros? I hope they won't fogret to address Skyros and Opaline's past in the next chapter because it seems to be the last one. I just hope it won't end on cliffhanger where writers thought they would get more seasons byt Hasbro canceled it. We would get similar scenario as with Teen Titans that ended on a cliffhanger. I partly blame the writers, because they should had focus on story and lore from the start instead wasting 80% of time on slice of life stories about internet trends and overall Pipp shenanigans.
