While reading the comic, I was thinking about Starlight's alternate timeline. The one where there was nothing left. That was kinda what all the G4 timelines look like today. So that timeline was kinda a real future timeline.

so what you're saying is that maybe Starlight's alternate timeline could have been a glimpse into G5? no spoilers for anyone who hasnt read the comic yet, but maybe that's what he meant by "things escalated". maybe there was a battle that left Equestria like that, and it would explain how a lot of things are missing from G5, like the other kingdoms, as well as the decreased number of ponies. Stirrope is shaped like Europe. Their are two main kingdoms Eoland (england) and Chavale( France) the two kingdoms are in state of total war. Imagine the hundred year war between England and France accept with ponies( ponies in my story are anthro) and this war has gone on for 1000 years over control of stirrope. The war pony war in stirrope started between Eoland Royal family claims in the throne of Chavale which Chavale royal family rejecting the claims. Where equestria has had more peace. Stirrope has had centuries of war. And it kinda is Starlight glimmer fault as she created the change in the time stream deep in the past long before equestria founding in the old homeland of the pony races before and during the great freeze of the windgos. There was the main exodus to equestria. Bitter first exodus of ponies to equestria were not the first their was another exodus of ponies. A forth tribe, fifth, and sixth tribes of you wil of ponies whom unlike the divided equestrin tribes were united. These were unicorns Pegasus and earth ponies alicorns, and other sub pony races like the zebras, breezes, etc whom called themselves the stirropian tribes. They had rejected the divisions and believed in the dreams of unity and fled the old homeland during the Civil War that ravaged the old homeland and fled first to equestria and then across the sea to escape the windgos whom the stirropian tribes called ice demons. During the stirropian exodus the stirrope tribes were attacked by many barbarian non ponies like the griffins. And horrible monsters like the hydra. This caused among the stirrope ponies a very strong hatred for non ponies and monstrous races like dragons.that the stirrope tribes upon landing in the islands and mainland of stirrope in a number of wars wiped out any and all non pony races, and monstrous animals alike. And assimilating all pony and pony like races intl the stirrope tribes and eventual stirrope kingdoms. Leaving the stirrope tribe's in controll of the lands of stirrope and the dominant pony races of their lands. Starlight glimmer held a hoof in the stirrope tribes splitting off from the Main equestria tribes despite it seeing very small. Whatever the change is it also cause the world magic to slowly drain away. And whole the stirrope kingdoms can survive vwithiut magic equestria and it's allies cannot.

@@LightningStripe25 yeah by the way my idea of magic fading I came up long before gen mlp 5 was created. And I found that just weird that my idea got used for gen mlp 5. But it kinda works with my story. Also the stirropian kingdoms pony populations eat beside fruits, grass, hay, vegetables, also eat cooked animal meat. The reason is theor diet changed in part because stirrope lands are barren of magic as it was fading over the 100 years they lived in stirrope. The unicorns and alicorns own magic could not fixed the issue. Magic helps the lands grow food in equestria. But for stirrope their is Almost no magic in the soil. So the stirrope tribes as they transitioned to kingdoms turned to the next food source to help ease off pressure on the farms. And that food is meat from the cows, pigs, sheep, deers, rabbits, and fish, etc. So the ponies of stirrope are omnivores. Their teeth are sharper that allows them to chew meat. So they have cattle farms, fisher ponies, and hunting locations for the noble ponies, and commoner ponies. Imagine what happens when twilight sparkles meets the stirropian ponies and sees that they serve meat as a main dish with veggies, fruits, grass and hay as side dishes. A few people told me a few main characters might be disturb, others like fluttershy would be surprised but understand as non ponies like dragons and griffins eat meat. Now the main 6 would be horrified by how the stirrope kingdoms, and the stirrope viking tribes ( yes their are viking ponies) are quite violent and warlike. Considering the noble knights, and common knights of stirrope have that desire to prove themselves in battle again and again. While the common men at arms, levies, profession troops, longbow ponies and crossbow ponies are just as eager for battles in defense of the kingdoms and their families or for pay . To princess twilight and the main 6 the a fions of stirrope ponies is bad because their fighting for lands, title's, honor, glory, wealth and prestige which costs lives. Something twilight sparkles is not use too seeing . Considering the common folk toil, the nobles amd knights defend and protect the common ponies and collect taxes. Nothing has changed in stirrope for more then 1000 years. And gold, sliver, copper coins and bit gems are extremely valuable. Bits the gems equestria uses is very valuable to stirrope ponies. To hold a bit gem. Means a pony is very rich. Many stirrope ponies will feel such a jealously that equestrians have so much bit gems, yet confusion why in equestria it has little valve. As in stirrope a single bit gem is worth hundreds and thousands of gold and sliver coin. Twilight will easily catch on that wealth in gems and coins very valuable to the stirrope ponies as that stuff is worth a hard days work. This will tell twilight they lack friendship on account stirropian kingdoms are medieval and way back on health, and hygiene, industry, some fashions, and certain freedoms. Imagine rarity having a moment of panic at how bad some stirrope ponies smell that apple jack has to shut raritymouth shut before they get abunch of disgruntled look from pony farmers and soldiers who may not have had a bath for who knows how long. Also alicorns in stirrope are not as powerful as celestia Luna, Candace or twilight as the alicorns of stirrope would they can use magic are not in command of any celestial bodies. The idea is alicorns 8n equestria are important due to ascending. But alicorns in stirrope who are born are not exactly special or God like. Many stirropian alicorns are often farmers, knights, soldiers, some are oart of royalty others are not. It would kind stump the idea that alicorns were special at all as their are hundreds living in stirrope. Also the lands and islands of stirrope have little magic so the weather is natural and very unpredictable like earth's weather. The Pegasus ponies never control the weather in fact their are no clouds cities so they live on the ground. the stirrope ponies also worship Laura Faust who they believe is their goddess ( whom some in the mlp Fandom went with the idea is Celestia and Luna mother. ) So their rather religious and would get offended if told otherwise Laura is not a alicorn goddess. The stirrope ponies believe this as Laura Faust had help in the Stirrope tribes exodus.

I REALLY want to know what happened to the Changelings, since as you say they are symbiotic/parasitic with gathering emotions. I can only assume they went back into hiding among the population and doing whatever changelings do while keeping a low profile, till everyone eventually chills out. Still interesting video.

That’s what I’ve been trying to figure out ever since the movie. The changelings are by far my favorite kingdom, and I have a lot to planned for them in the future, but first we have to figure out where they are. Personally I think they’re still alive, but living in a secret place, either the hive or somewhere else. While I think that thorax and pharynx would have an argument, I don’t think they would lead the changelings down a dark path, they’re probably still out there somewhere, we might even have seen them and not realized it. There’s so many options!

G5's lore is starting out so weird. Only 3 isolated pony settlements that somehow have modern technology and mass-produced goods. I'm almost expecting some kind of Truman Show reveal, where it turns out that they were inside a magic bubble this whole time and the rest of Equestria is just as it's always been. I guess the other species could just be hiding in their respective corners of the world as well. They did find that dragon egg, I wonder if it floated across the sea from the dragon lands. The scene kind of makes it look like someone left it there on purpose for Hitch to find. Since Gillian Berrow seems to be setting up Make Your Mark as a mystery story, maybe we will get some clues here and there that will help piece together what happened and where all the creatures went.

Since the egg was found on the shore, I think it did indeed drift out from the Dragonlands. And yeah, a lot of pieces are missing in G5, but the fun part is trying to figure them out!

It's probably more likely that the ponies chased out the other species and then turned on themselves afterwards. The other species magic could be completely fine if they kept friendships with each other. Of course they'd have to avoid most ponies for their own safety, but the door would always be open for ponies that could get their crap together. I say that because in the ending for MYM there was an alicorn and a unicorn in an undisclosed location that is most likely not any of the 3 established places. I hope there are more ponies beyond the 3 places we were shown. I could imagine a lot of ponies getting tired of the bigotry and leaving Equestria all together so now their descendents would live outside of Equestria.

I like that idea, the ponies kicking out the other kingdoms. It would mean that their magic could still survive, even with the ponies divided. And I love the idea of certain ponies getting tired of all the division and leaving to find their own way. I theorize that this place may be the Crystal Empire, but it could be with the other kingdoms, and it would be very interesting if it was. Even though we haven’t seen any other creature yet, that doesn’t mean they’re gone, we simply haven’t explored enough of New Equestria to be able to find them. And for the Alicorn from the movie, I’m more focused on the unicorn next to her, we don’t know where she’s from, or why she’s helping the alicorn, but her face tells me she’s in too deep and can’t get out of it, even if she wants to.

Spike is one of the creatures that I also think are alive somewhere, we all saw how old dragon lord Torch was (he shows up in a flashback with Flash Magnus) so spike has a big chance of still being out there somewhere, same with Ember, Smolder, and the other dragons, though they’d be way older

@@wilianrodrigues5280 While all magic would be gone, the Crystal Heart could still survive, since it relies solely on the love of the crystal ponies. If it does, it would mean that the empire would remain safe from any shadow creatures (like Sombra and the Umbrum) as well as the extreme cold around it. However, if it doesn't, there's still a chance that, as technology continues to advance, they could invent things such as insulation and air conditioners that would allow them to live in such a cold environment. And I love your idea about Spike, you're absolutely right. If Spike left Equestria, he'd most likely go to the Crystal empire, and as "savior of the crystal empire", he would become a huge help throughout its history. And since Dragons have an increased life span, he would be able to lead it through tough times, even after all the Alicorns disappear. He would be able to continue the stories of the Mane 6 and the lessons they'd learned. ps: if you don't mind, i'd like to add this "spike goes to the crystal empire" idea to my ongoing fanfic about the fall of Equestria

That’s what I’m thinking. Maybe he caused chaos, but then realized that it wasn’t what Fluttershy would want, and he feels ashamed and exiles himself. This would keep him from hurting other ponies and give him time to take care of Sweetfeather sanctuary. Btw, you might find out more by reading the Discord comics, they talk a little about Discord and Fluttershy, but only slightly. Might give you more insight, though

Another good question. i meant to add those to the video but I didn't have enough time. The Zebras probably would be unaffected since they live in another continent across the sea, and they don't use magic. They probably wouldn't notice many changes, aside from losing connections to the ponies. The Diamond Dogs, I'm actually not sure. I haven't read all the season 10 comics, and we don't see much of them in the original series. They also don't use magic, so they wouldn't lose anything in that perspective, but they do live close to the ponies, so they may have been effected depending on how the pony tribes react. I'm not too sure though.

Well, it’s still a kids show, so I get why it’s not that dark. There are still a lot of kids who watch the show. Though there are some parts could have been darker. They did deal a little with racism, with the tribes speaking bad about each other, but nothing like it is irl. Though I doubt they’ll make it darker, there are a lot of fanfics about it that are dark and tragic. I myself love a good tragedy story, and that’s what the fanfic I talked about will be

Argyle did die between the time skip at the beginning of the movie, and there's also the topic of the fate of the Mane 6, who couldn't possibly have lived 2000 years, and the question of what happened to Twilight. But yes, I agree with you that it is softer than the G4 series in most points

Going into 10:00 minutes in your vid the moment you mentioned the crystal empire the first thought came into head, that the empire would instantly vanish bc the heart is fueled by magic the magic of love, therefore the kingdom would be long lost with its rulers, being Flurry Heart, Cadence and their subjects, so honestly with this new gen I hope they try to bring it back to life show what love is all over again. Since the whole empire pretty much goes under slumber/ at time freeze so they don’t age, it’s as if their time stopped and they never vanished. I really hope the new gen gives us more to look forward to and more explanations and what not bc they gave us a whole lot of nothing with the movie, in my opinion, same thing with the first episode in the make your mark series, I’ve been wanting to read the comics, but the only reason I haven’t is because I’m rewatching the whole gen 4 entire show all over again, and watching all shorts to see if I can figure something out myself bc personally I feel like there’s more to it, there’s more that we are all missing…

Now that’s what I like to hear! A true theorist at heart! Rewatching the show for information is my favorite part. As for your theory, I don’t think they would vanish, seeing as the curse that made them disappear in the first place was created by sombra, and it made it so that the Crystal empire would disappear when he was banished, not when the heart ran out. If it did run out of power, it would disable the forcefield around the kingdom that shields it from the cold north winds. However, if this did happen, I’m sure they would be able to figure out some kind of technology to keep them warm. As for the movie, I agree, we got a lot of nothing. As frustrating as that is, I find it kinda fun, since it gives us a whole bunch of room to let out creativity flow and try to find out what happened by ourselves. There is a lot we are missing, but it’s also fun to try to figure that out ourselves! Also, if your search in g4 tells you anything, let me know, maybe I’ll cover it later on. As you said, there’s a lot we don’t know.

I love watching vids like these because they really are out here to keep the community alive, and I appreciate that much.♡ But getting back into it, remember that one episode where Flurry Heart broke the Crystal heart? There's a phrase in the entire episode where Cadence says that if they don't vacate now the city will succumb without the power of the crystal. And I feel like some creatures like the breezies would dissapear, so would the siren, just like the windigo. There are so many creatures outside of the ones you mentioned that would either go extinct or dissapear. Like in the last episode Spike mentions the name of one set of creatures not being able to be proper friends with the Diamond dogs, I forgot what they're called. But I am indeed hoping that every new episode of the new gen actually uncovers everything when it comes to what happened to equestria. I have a feeling that the timeline that Starlight and Twis battle of the last scene must have been what happened to equestria, having all tribes sheltered without magic caused the same issue with the first rulers of the tribes that broke the whole thing with windigos. Ugh I wish I could make a whole vid explaining all of this I freaking adore this show its what pretty much raised me to be the human I am today. And I really hated how MLP gen 4's whole build up is being trampled by this money hungry company that just won't make it correlate properly with the new gen 5 All of this for "buy our toys" 🙄😭 Gen 4 deserves more respect than that. Like for example gen 4 broke the whole common body type each pony had, they created tall ponies short ones what about in the first few seasons where you see full grown horses watching the show that twilight put together after Trixie tried destroying ponyville 😭😭😭😭 broooo there's so much that comes to my mind I can't even stick to one thing but this whole new show is a massive disrespect to gen 4

As for the theory, with the Crystal Heart broken, the Crystal Empire was unprotected from the Arctic winds of the North, but they were never in danger of disappearing like they did before. as for the other creatures, i think the Breezies would be mostly fine, since they themselves don't have much magic. Sure, the portal to their home relies on magic, but as long as they don't leave it they should be fine. The Sirens don't have to worry about anything, since they live in the Human world, which doesn't have any magic, and the magic they did have was broken when their necklace/medallion was broken. The Windigos, I'm not really sure. They could appear in the beginning, as the tribes begin to separate, but they may disappear as well when magic fades. and the creatures spike was talking about was the cats from the MLP movie, which also don't have magic and are used to living without it. And I don't think that the timeline you talked about would be New Equestria, since we know for a fact that the rainboom never happened there, and therefore the Mane 6 never met each other. My personal idea on it is that it was caused by a huge battle between the villains, getting worse and worse as more appeared. First it would start with Nightmare Moon, then Chrysalis would attempt a takeover (because that's her whole thing), then Sombra, and so on. But I also hope that the new series uncovers a lot of things, but as curious as i am, I don't want them to do it all at once, i'd rather they give little clues about things, that way we theorists can keep going with our ideas. As for your opinion on the new movie/special, i'm gonna have to disagree. Unlike what others think, I personally don't believe that the movie ruined G4, i see it as a continuation. I agree in some parts, lie how the movie lacked a lot of information, and how it was rushed when it came to the theme of teaching Sunny that Friendship is Magic, but most of it i can understand, since movies are usually short considering that most of them cover several days in just over an hour. there's bound to be information missing or not explained well. And the company never changed. it's still run by Allstar and Boulder Media, both owned by Hasbro. And i wouldn't call them "power hungry" because they're trying to sell merchandise, all companies do that, especially new ones when they have a hype going on. G4 itself had way more toys than the new Gen has. And the pony designs, thats just something that'll show up later. In G4, sure they had different styles for different ages, but even then most of the background ponies were still the same, i've lost count of how many times I've seen Bon Bon and Lyra show up as duplicates. And you cane say G5 is short on styles. They've made all the ponies 3D, gave them fluff like they've never had before. Just because the ponies aren't as diverse in size for now doesn't mean they wont be added later.

See, thats the thing. All of their new traditions, like hearts warming, are strongly based on the ponies. After the changelings reformed, they began to look to the ponies for guidance, and in this case, Pharynx was partially right, it made the changelings softer. While this wouldn't usually have much effect, when the tribes begin to divide, they wouldn't know what to do. The ones who were guiding them since their reformation now are dividing like all those lessons were nothing, and they would be effected greatly. I personally theorize that they would also divide, in some way. If Thorax and Pharynx are still alive when it happens, which there is a high chance that they are, they would disagree on what to do. Pharynx would want to go back to their old ways, while Thorax would try his best to stick to the teachings of friendship and harmony. How this would end, i don't know, but it would greatly change the way changelings act, especially around ponies

Maybe a changeling shows up in maretime bay pretending to be somepony, and the mane 5 figure out something's wrong. It would make for a very good plot, and would finally tell us what happened to them

I also would like to know if flying is something pegasi can just do. They shouldn't need magic to fly, because magic doesn't control airlifts and wind. I want to think the magic for pegasi flying is just a placebo effect.

Flying, at least when it comes to pegasi, is related to magic in some way. When Cozy stole magic, the pegasi lost the ability to fly, and now in G5 they did too. Although you are right, their wings are aerodynamic, and magic doesn't control the wind. Zipp shows this exact point in the movie, both when she glided and when she shows the whiteboard with math in it; she was trying to figure out how to fly without the use of magic. Given enough time, she could have figured out a way to fly without the use of magic, though it probably wont happen in the series now that magic is back

@@seantaggart7382 I was thinking about Pegasus flight a few weeks ago, and i agree. Even though they need magic to fly, the wings still have a certain level of aerodynamics, which is why Zipp can still glide in the movie. But i think this only applies to certain pegasus, since their wings seem to be more diverse now. For example, Pipp's wings wouldn't work for gliding, at least not very well, due to their shape.

Crystal Empire: Would eventually divide by race. Also Flurry, Cadence, and Shining will suffer from waisted potential. Every other pony town: You get the idea School of friendship: Closed down because of separation. Discord: Couldn't do anything to help because he had a mid-life crisis. Spike: Didn't get his unicorn/griffin waifu. All those mixed families: Will probably suffer from all this. The non-ponies: Either died, or migrated elsewhere. Luster Dawn: "Such waisted potential," The comics and the human world: May as well not exist at this point. Boy, did they screw up so bad.

Very accurate description for Discord. Spike's predicament is very interesting, since I doubt he'd simply go live in the dragonlands. And i assume the Crystal empire would shut down its borders and go back to being an earth/crystal pony only kingdom. Ponyville would be completely turned upside down with teamwork between the tribes being so essential, and i assume everyone would leave. and yes, they really did screw up badly

I think they have moved to the crystal empire as the ponies there are basically filled with love, though i think they would not want to leave due to the blizzard outside the kingdom
