Me i start off with a small amount of thugs when i reach the end i go back to head quarters and check the chart of thugs i dont use the weapons except for the machine gun

Larcen was always my favourite Eternal Champion, this game was not a great use of him. If they had done a metroidavania it would have been far better, the Game Gear could have handled it I am sure.

Maybe Sega should have made it a simple beat' em up . The idea of a sinpoff character from a fighting game , having their own solo game, is a golden idea , A+ for effort

There's apparently a bug in the game that causes enemies to do twice as much damage as the designer intended. If that bug wasn't there, the grind wouldn't be nearly as bad.

I own both this game and the Mummy Returns for gameboy color and i also have the Mummy 3 Tomb of the Dragon Emporer which was later released on the Ps2. I beat all three games and they are a joy to own in my collection.

I love this game and have beaten it so many times! Too bad theres no game save feature but there are passwords so that incase your game randomly freezes during gameplay you atleast have them to pick up where you left off.

I had this game because I loved Eternal Champions for Sega. I ended up returning this one to a store in the mall(I don't remember what store it was) because I could never get the bosses to appear.

This game is my guilty pleasure. I'm so engaged with the story and the characters that I even heard and read creator Michael Latham's interviews. The Sega CD version is like an expansion of the original game: More characters, more backgrounds, more colors, more finishers, extended lore, 3D animations, and CD-quality music and voices. It is better in almost every aspect, and that's not accidental. The Genesis version was less polished because SEGA wanted to boost the SEGA CD sales. It wasn't enough, tho. EC: Challenge from the Dark Side is the closest EC has been to being a decent FG.

As a fan of EC and Shadow, I had to try this game. Honestly, I found some thrill in the custody of the other characters while they were doing the tasks. But, girl, this game was rough on the eyes. The fights were stiff, the sprites were ugly, and overall, it was a poor X-perience. Modern tech would do wonders with this franchise.

I thought Bangai-o (from Treasure Studio) was the first to propose a free scrolling-roaming around Meccha-game, but nope! Btw if you don't know about Bangai-o, watch out for the exceptional Ds version, Bangai-o Spirits. A precious gem.

This was one of those games we rented on some random Friday, completely expecting it to suck, and couldn't believe how good it was. We never got to beat it, but boy oh boy did we have fun with this one, a true gem of the system.

I played this as I kid, me and my sisters loved it. The seed you plant then reap the loot when you advance time was one of my favorite things aside from the awesome soundtrack.

@@MVPGame I'm not sure how I did it. I was far from a pro gamer as a boy, only completing a couple of NES games before getting an SNES. I really loved this game, though, so I kept pushing on through it, and never got stuck too long, which usually resulted in me shelving a game from there on out. I remember having trouble getting through the caverns in the North Wall section, and being frustrated with how quickly my life meter drained in the Great Tree. I had totally forgot about the boss rush, and I have no idea how I got through it all without using any cheats. I just must have been in the zone and had luck on my side that day.

I am in awe of people who completed games before cheats and guides were more widely available. I had a friend who completed super ghouls and ghosts, no cheats, no guides. People like you and him are just built different 💪

Great stuff as usual Mason. I remember this but always confuse it with a game I wanna say was called embassy even though they aren’t necessarily alike. I have a fun fact: Maniac Mansion also has a naughty bit I believe Nintendo missed, a mirror on Edna’s ceiling above the bed.

I just paid £70 for this, that said it is mint, I broke my rule of nothing over £50, but I sold 5 books via Pay Pal so they took the price down, god damn I've a fair few to shift, but once I get to a carboot sale and re-stock the shop selling them I'll get there, I'll be a Dillionaire, ha, ha, ha! Nah I don't give a shite about money, I have enough in the bank to keep me going, I did it for fun and my ego, but my front room is full of them and I want rid as soon as possible.

You know, I've never actually played "Lester the Unlikely," but it certainly doesn't look bad. I also love rotoscoped graphics. Games like "Flashback" and "Prince of Persia" can be great fun, if you have patience!
