I've got this on the AMIGA, I think it may have been where it came from, I know Alfred was a party candidate for parliament in the UK, no joke look it up, a guy dressed as him was in the running, sadly he didn't win.

@@MVPGame The GAMEBOY has a graphically impressive port, but it's not worth bothering with if you don't love the character, it's just the computer version on a handheld and I don't remember it having an ending of note, probably just ran the credits, which I hate, I want a reward for my wasted time! "The 8astards"

I read up on the other versions and each port seems to be different. I was going to hunt for this game to compare but I'm not in too much a hurry since I didn't like it much

good review...except I was more entertained by watching for your fun facts and infographics than I was by the game. What was it about again? A Italian chicken play on words chicken alfredo saving the princess from the evil MegaChicken? Two thumbs up for your fun facts and presentation :)

I didn´t know about the SNES version! Alfred Chicken started out on European home computers but got loads of ports. I had to take a closer look at this version, seems like it´s level design differs from the original. Sort of a sequel or remix... too bad the music is still annoying.

Yes, I read up on the other ports. Super Alfred Chicken seems like a more complete game. I read this is a unintentional sequel since it's so different from the other games. Though, the PAL version is called Alfred Chicken like the rest. I'm not sure why different names weren't given to these games since each port has some variant.

Right, naming conventions are super confusing! I believe it’s usually the local branch of the company that chooses the name, basing it on what they think is more marketable. The “Super” suffix was used generously, sometimes indicating a sequel, sometimes just indicating it’s on Super NES (and in a case like Super Turrican on NES -who knows)…

I shit you not, i saw this game a few weeks ago at this retro game store. I considered picking it up. It was 35 dollars with no box or manual. I was like screw this, I am going to get some Nintendo Switch points. I still got my switch points because they have no good games out =\ and i regretted not picking this up. But after this review I am glad I didn't pick it up. I would have got ripped off lol. I will say this game has a Yoshi's island vibe but with chickens.

35 is a lot for this game. The graphics are pretty fun and I think the randomness is a contribution to that. I'm sure there will be a time where those switch points will come in handy!
