Spin solved using double line method. You can do on the joist he mentions. Also it’s rated at 400 using the double line NOT single line. Single line still ok at 220pds. Just an FYI. Working on the tilt part now.

Question: first appreciate the vid. With the extra ihooks, did u have to have the length if the safety wire long enough to allow for letting the roof down to the jeep??

I had a set of brand new Patagonia AT R's on my Silverado Z71 that my dealership threw on. Almost spun out on the highway in snow with them. Yea I was in 2WD and not 4WD. Yet with a set of Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S I could go on snowy roads in 2WD that I couldn't with the Craptagonia's. Both times I had weight in the bed of the truck. Plus the Craptagonia's where loud on the highway. Well I had replace the AT3's (due to wear) and since the AT3's are discontinued unfortunately. Two co-workers suggested the Nitto Terra Grappler G2. We will see how they due when winter hits.

So how does the lift kit and the bigger tires and wheels affect the on-road ride ability and comfort of your wife’s 4Runner Limited?

Led headlights and tail lights with integrated anti rapid flash] Mud tires with 17 in stock rims (I also have my stock sahara 18 inch rim set with at tires) bath can be found fir cheap. Stickers. Your preference. Cheap Bluetooth 5v 16 ft led strip light stuck to top hidden by roll bars. Colored paint markers for highlights on tires. (‘Warning’ in red, ‘safety’ in yellow, tire type in white. Getting my tipm repaired at maks tipm. And then getting an extra one with a custom colored cover. The little things that count sometimes. I only used a ship when I needed to balance and mount tires. I should buy those tools. When I redid my brakes a second time, there was axle grease all over form a leaky rear driver side seal. I bought an new axle with bearing pressed already and new brake assembly for super cheap and had no problems putting it in. It was way cheaper and easier than any other method. Put a new iron diff cover painted with great hammered finish with blue accent. It atachés the cover of my tipm o got from maks tipm repair.

3.21 were standard on JK/JKU sport models, 3.73 came with Sports with Tow Package and of course Rubicon's are typically 4.10's. Some Hard Rock Editions came with 3.73 since 4.10's were a factory Option for 2015 models.

Look 99.9% of jeeps never evan go into the dirt little alone go off road, a stock jeep is perfectly capable of what 99.9% are going to use it for. Just put better tiers on it and go. Waste of money to build a rock crawler when you could get by with a 2wd pickup.

Its tough. I have had to sell a few beloved vehicles because my family kept growing. We are up to 6 now so that really limits the spectrum of what can work for us. We are going to be buying and MDC XL15-4E or one of the Opus family trailers soon to do some boondocking and pulling it with our 2003 GX470. I am eyeballing the Elate 1900 supercharger kit, ECGS Dana 60, and a Nomad valve body to help beef up the drivetrain. Was also considering 74 Weld portals for extra clearance and width with 35"s or 37"s down the road, but for now we will see how it performs with the other mods. My rock crawling days were a blast but being able to camp and make memories with my kids with a comfy wife is where just where I am at in this chapter of life. I hope you are enjoying spending time with yours and having a great time 😎

For $50k+ you think these could come with an onboard generator.. The off road trailer market is insane.
@dparrillojr2

@_Spacecraft
@_Spacecraft 16 күн бұрын
@@dparrillojr2 You can find intech ovr expeditions with the off road package for under 50k that include solar panels and an onboard generator (those are overpriced too. Intech cuts corners). I’ve come across a few over the years that had generators as well, but I don’t recall the names. When you know what goes into the materials cost and construction of these trailers, you’d be amazed they charge more than 25k. Most of these things have garbage welds, bad weather sealing, cheap suspension, the list goes on.
@dparrillojr2
@dparrillojr2 16 күн бұрын
@@_Spacecraft this is why I haven’t bought a a camper yet they all seem very similar on the outside, but I’m so concerned about the guts. Like you said shitty welds warm or cold air coming in due to improper or seals, etc. but then on the other hand there’s gonna be imperfections with everything. I just wish I knew which poison I’m choosing. And these things are ridiculously expensive than yesterday. Seems like 50,000 is the bottom of the barrel I have a family of four with two dogs I want to get in my camper head up to the north east and have an off grid system, fully self-sufficient. But you’re spending big money I mean it’s half the price of my house.
@_Spacecraft
@_Spacecraft 15 күн бұрын
@@dparrillojr2 Yeah it’s totally insane. I bought an intech flyer explore which is fairly bare bones. Has a tip out bed, slide out stove and refrigerator, air conditioning and propane heater. Then ended up installing a tankless water heater system, shower, toilet, and have solar panels and a solar generator. The trailer itself was about $26k and I’ve put probably close to $10k of stuff into it. I can go off grid camping pretty well for a week or so at a time if I don’t have a water source nearby. Even at 26k it’s overpriced and I’ve had to fix and improve shoddy work from the factory. Sucky time for wanting a good off road camping trailer.

may I offer some online advice from an old wheeler of Jeeps and an owner of 3 sets of G003 Yokahama ? At 01:17 minutes, you even see what I am about to mention. You , Caleb, would benefit greatly from using your entire Geolander tire if you would air down to 15PSI. You bounced into frame on far too inflated of that size tire for your weight Jeep. The ttreadblocks on the sidewall should be against the surface of the rocks or at least blorping over . I run 37" G003 on non beadlocks similar to yours on a four door and the bead holds down to 8psi. You can roll all day on 18psi and your ride wil be smoother and you'll not bounce along on little bunny trail rocks like that. Take it for what it's worth; internet advice. But, what do you lose by trying it to seeif I am on the level or not. Those tires can fold over on themselves and ooze you up rocks. if you let them

Awesome video! Just a recommendation, I would recommend a ABC 5lb or 10lb extinguisher on the jeep and if you buy an amerex make sure to get a nice amerex vehicle mount, they release the extinguisher really fast. ABC extinguishers might make a mess but they are effective on almost every fire you will encounter. The H3R extinguisher is awesome but Halotron 1 can only put out BC fires (Hope to buy one for my FE collection one day) that’s why I would recommend at least a 5lb ABC extinguisher to go with it! Also the amerex 2 1/2 pound extinguisher like you have right now will only put out pretty small fires, that’s why I suggest at least a 5lb. Sorry for the long comment I’m just a huge fire extinguisher enthusiast!

Just a few things that will help people looking for help on doing these. I've done many and these are the tips I'd give. #1 completely remove the bolts before trying to remove the rods and then thread them back on a little to catch the rod when it falls out. See #2 #2 Get two large hammers, one preferably a small sledge. Place the sledge on one side of the mount/pitman arm and hit the opposite side with the other hammer. A few good whacks and the arm will drop right out. That is my advice and it will save you hours of pain 😉 I've never used a puller or a pickle fork.

I ran core4x4 tier 2 on my WJ. After 1 1/2 yrs, roughly 4000 miles, 2 of the bushings blew out. Their warranty states they offer lifetime warranty but when I called to request a replacement, they said warranty only covers the tubes and welds. So beware and read the fine print, which I didn't find when I purchased mine.

This is exactly what i was looking for. I ran 24psi in a jeep xj on 35x12.5r15 on a 15x8 wheel and to get full tread contact i had to run 24psi maximum otherwise running high pressure it would wonder all over the road and ride like shit. I just noticed today the side lugs were chunking off and whether that’s from low tire pressure and turning on roads or a welded rear or just poor quality.
