I had an 85 truck 4x4 when I was in high school and it would go anywhere. Now I have an 87 4 Runner sr5 and a built 93 4 runner. They are fun but expensive to keep quality parts on them.

I have a '94. These Old Toyotas outclassed Jeeps and other light trucks of the same years. More factory ground clearance and axles that are equivalent to dana 44s right out of the box. Only complaint is power, but it's not a big deal on the trail.

I talked to Rick and he said they are custom leaf springs from valley spring here in Phoenix but were made to Chevy leaf spring dimensions - he believes they are 67” eye to eye. He said many folks will just do a Chevy lead spring swap. Hope that helps!

Toyotas are the superior off-road vehicle. I have a 82, 87, and a 91. Ive owned more and also jeeps, but never had a problem with Toyotas always with jeeps. Sorry Jeep guys haha.
