I have a grandson who is 6 and autistic. He’s now able to communicate things. Some words are still babble, but we and his teachers can figure it out. No, he isn’t in a special school, but regular school. We’ve had the most wonderful therapists and teachers. She’ll be fine. With love, patience and a village, she’ll soar. I promise! She’s beautiful!

At this point, we can say Mikko is verbal and not nonverbal!! 🎉 👏🏽🎉👏🏽Just saying she’s autistic is okay. Anyone that’s not sleeping under a rock should know that children with autism have communication delays. And if they don’t they should educate themselves. And I don’t mean any disrespect by this, but as a mother with a child that is on the spectrum too, let’s flip it around now for babygirl ❤ You are an amazing mom and I have been watching you for some time. My five-year-old daughter who is not on the spectrum, loves watching Mikko and praises her when she see her doing so good as if she’s in the same room with her when watching yall videos. She even turns to me for hugs more now when she’s sad and upset about something because she see Mikko do it and it helps her to calm down faster🫶🏽. I know I’m not in your home to see what life is really like when cameras aren’t recording but you shouldn’t have to keep saying she’s nonverbal to please “this platform”. Your babies are thriving, let’s celebrate that🥰🥰🥰 With love, Dani

She has beautiful hair. It looks so pretty down, but I guess sometimes you just want it braided 😊. That's okay too. I'm just jealous of how beautiful her hair is. It's so awesome when a child gets the Mom they needed.

as an autistic non verbal adult, sometimes during a meltdown, my safe stim is the only thing that’s going to help me, because, why? i’m autistic, and reading a book doesn’t help me, she looks so uncomfortable, she was able to stim comfortably and that was taken away, she looks so so so freakin uncomfortable. i just don’t know man, she’s not my kid i understand but as an autistic adult who had to get rid of EVERYTHING autistic just so people could handle me i’m very biased about some of the techniques used to force autistic people out of their autism.

I was diagnosed autistic way too late and now still suck my thumb to self soothe at 17 years old. Wish people had introduced other options to me like this when I was young instead of just getting mad or calling me diagusting and unhygenic for it because now i physically cannot sleep without thumb sucking. Even putting bitter things or gloves over my thumb no longer works and I'll either power through or stay awake and stress out without my main comfort. Trying to learn how to stop as it's messing up my mouth and my teeth but it's so hard now. A parent like you would have really helped me when i was younger I think.
