No company is stupid enough to put a clause like that. Bang PD only verbally agreed. It was just MHJ telling the girls' parents that they would be HYBE's first girl group. But at the time, the development activities were still under Source Music. When MHJ took the girls to Ador and subsequently delayed the project, HYBE greenlighted Source to debut Le Sserafim first so they can start earning money. Remember, this is a business and time is money. Staff need to be paid salaries. MHJ is reckless is this regard. You need to keep on planned schedules. It's the same case when she worked on V's solo album Layover. It was supposed to go before JK's solo work. But in the end, HYBE had to release JK's project first one by one while waiting for V's to complete. Luckily, JK works fast and was able to fill the schedule.

Nope they did NOT make more money than any other Hybe group!! First of all, even during hiatus BTS remain the top earner. 2nd is PLEDIS. Smelly jeans contributed only 3% in earnings in their last full year of activity. Like them, you have an over-inflated opinion of their value as earners.

Yes, non-Korean performers are on a specific visa (I forgot what it's called). The general immigration rule is in order to work and live in a country, you will have to prove how you're going to make a living. Usually in the form of a job offer from a company. For idols, their agencies are the ones sponsoring this for them. So, at the moment, the visa is still sponsored by HYBE/Ador. Generally, the visa ends after the contract ends. If the court decides the contract is still valid in this case, the visa is still usable. It's reckless of them to make the move they're making now. Worst case scenario for them is the contract is terminated with a hefty penalty and someone has to fly back to her country.

Precisely this. ADOR is putting ALL their eggs in this legal basket. They are banking on a judge ruling that the exclusive contract is still valid.

@@CapitalVictimsthere may be public pressure from fans on the judge to make a dubious decision but he is likely to be very old and hardly up to speed with Kpop social media to even notice it. However, not only Ador but the entire Kpop industry relies on him upholding standard principles in contract law which are the very bedrock of the industry, without which it would collapse like a pack of cards. There could even be government pressure to ensure he doesn’t destroy a key industry which contributes so much to the nation’s GDP and image. Certainly industry representatives are likely to be called as witnesses to strengthen Ador’s case just to be on the safe side. Once the contract is confirmed as valid I expect them to sue everyone involved in the breaches that will have already happened by then. Then terminate their contract legally because of those breaches and sue for loss of future earnings they would have expected to make in the next 5 years. That comes to a lot of money which can then be invested in bringing a new girl group to debut.
