I stumbled across these colours some months ago, did'nt really think to much about them before I stumbled across a flower painting video with these. Which in turn led me to a little bit of investigating and your videos. I really liked the first video and I decided to watch this second one as well. They look like so much fun!

I am curious, how is the paper? I have seen it but was kind of put off by it, as pretty much all the different papers in my local Hobbycraft have been replaced by this one brand. Edit: just read the description, lol. Sorry.

This series of paintings is absolutely gorgeous. I hope kuretake are taking notice - I suspect your work has sold a lot of these sets - I certainly have purchased based upon it. Subscribed too. Hopefully we’ll get all 5 colours. Going to watch your other videos too. Hope the channel goes from strength to strength and you get the recognition your talent deserves.

FYI: There is one artist on YT that educates in detail about paint, mix colors for special colors/ granulating paints.

Wow you demonstrated those Artz acrylic paint pens beautifully. You are so gifted I was gob smacked to see how quickly you came up with with a stunning display for this product. They do stand out so well on the black paper too. They should pay you to demonstrate their products you did a wonderful job for them. Do they ever contact you after a demo to thank you at all? Have a great day 😊

i have seen other youtubers paint directly from the pan.. and others mix the paint into another area and add water..and they show the separation of pigments from the pallete... they mention that there can be differences in results.. but did not explain what those differences are.. and I couldn't really tell the difference but It does seem possible..specially with a fineline brush.. that one can be selective on a pallet.. about picking up one segment of the color..vs another.. so I wonder if that is something that you have done to separate the greenish.. to the copperish/brown.. at first glance.. it seems that green appears in thin layers.. but i can't see how layering another thin green layer would end up in brown.. and not stronger darket green. What makes sense to me.. is that perhaps picking up all the hues from the pan results in brown on the paper.. since all the pigments are represented ..even in a small brush.. but to get more green.. I would think that dispersion on the pan is required and dipping the brush is that particular area selectively picks up the green and omits the brown.. or perhaps it all looks brown but small brushes just pick up the low density fine grain particles in the water and the heavy brown need a different way to dip.. it is still a mistery. There are not many detail videos on how to work with these paints..

HI, when you say you use one color.. do you mean that is the only color from the Kuretake series that you use.. not excluding other colors from different pallete? I am just curious how you are controlling the hue.. if you are.. because some sections appear very different than others..which i understand could come from the multi-mix pigments from this product.. but i thought this dispersion is rather uncontrolled..yet you seem to control the hue rather well.. does the layering control if the paint will be more.. pink.. rather than purple? are you getting the separation on the pan..by settling or something? A tutorial on how to control the dispersion on this would be nice. The package suggest the dispersion is rather uncontrolled..as much watercolors can be.. specially granulating.. so I am perplexed is you are achieving this with just the same pigment.. just by layering..
@washedoutwyvernАй бұрын
Its hard to describe but the result depends on how diluted the paint is and sometimes I use more than one layer which affects the shade, but i only us one colour, hope tghis helps 😀
@rusty-y8rАй бұрын
@@washedoutwyvern thanks.. in this case.. with the blue vs pink/violent of one pigment mix.. do you know ahead of time that an area will turn out more violet vs more blue? is the process repeatable as long as you control various things ? it seems like it is well controlled but i don't know if that is significant skill or if the paint in well behaved as long as you keep the washes thin and use small brushes..etc.. (i do like this dispersion very much.. and i was tempted to try mixing some myself..instead of buying it.. but it seems like maybe that is too much work.. so I am better off just buying the set. Your first introduction with the blobs showed very Chaotic dispersion.. and the next clip was well controlled painting.. so It is quite unexpected ..what you have achieved.

I'm not an painter so I'm curious if you can clarify for me the following: where the sea creatures done on one pan color? if so, how did you achieve a rather green-ish hue distinct from the copper-ish hue? you mention that this may be monocromatic.. but I wonder how you are able to control, what may be one pigment mix.

I am better at writing than painting, I'm afraid. Are you the opposite, writing vs. painting? Perhaps teaming up with a non-fiction writer - like myself - would be an option to create a book?

Thank you Lucy for demonstrating these Kuretake granulating WCs. I’ve never seen your channel before until I did a search for this product on YT. Your demo is by far the most beautiful and educational I’ve seen on this set and for that matter superior to most WC demos I watch. Keep up the good work listening to the magic of the gulls and deep Atlantic waters.
