Let’s paint a Deer with Paul Rubens new QICAIHUI academy-grade watercolours

Hello everyone and thank you for joining me. This week I will be trying some new watercolours that have been kindly sent to me from Paul Rubens. They have many lovely sets of watercolours with nice packaging. As you may know, watercolours are some of my favourite paints so when they asked if I would like to try their new set, I was excited. They also sent me a Swatch Book from Lightwish which I found helpful to try my new paints on.
Overall, I am very impressed with the paints. I think this would be a good set for a beginner or a nice gift for somebody that likes watercolour paints

Ahh I loved watching this, the final piece came out so lovely! It's nice finding artists who use hotpress since I'm trying to learn WC and want to use HP for mixed media. Videos with coldpress are waaaay more popular that it can be tricky to find ones using HP.

Loved that you compared the unpacking, to unwrapping sweets 😊 - I loved seeing your process, but would love to see the part where you add colour pencils to finish up your drawings. I understand that prob wasn’t for this video, since it was a gift sent. ☺️

I’ve heard alot about Paul Rubens, but I admit I blew a hefty penny on my collection of handmade watercolors so I can’t justify it 😅
