Before people say congratulations you have an overweight piece of 3A .... soft 3A isn't rated for .44 mag from carbine/ lever action.... only from a handgun ... you've exceeded 3A armor....
@kennethferguson42832 ай бұрын
LOL It's not whether or not a round penetrates armor or not that's important it's what the round has left after having penetrated the armor. Since one of the rounds didn't penetrate the armor that would indicate the ones that did penetrate had little energy left. Very likely not enough to do any real damage, then there is the heavy clothing thing.

I currently carry the Fiochi 40 grain in my FN 5.7. I feel great about the performance. I also have a magazine of Speer gold dots and a mag of the FN 57 branded 27 grain loaded. I think I’m going to load the Gold dot mag in my 5.7. They performed very well. Great video. Exactly what I was looking for.

Nice test but I'm curious about the 10mm bullet charge. For example 180g FMJ, 200gr RNFP, etc. I did not expect the 10 to completely penetrate but if someone gets hit by a 10mm they will feel it, even though most armor will stop it.

Myth busters did a show on shooting into water and how deep you need to be to be safe from getting shot and surprisingly enough the 22 cal was the only caliber that posed a threat…… Even the 50 cal basically exploded on impact as did pretty much every caliber bullet they shot simply explode on impact and safely fall to the bottom of the pool they were in
@TheArmorFarm4 ай бұрын
I think I remember that episode. It was super interesting that those were the results!
@athenathegreatandpowerful63654 ай бұрын
@@TheArmorFarminteresting maybe, but far from surprising. A .22 round is tiny. It'll get through a lot more than a larger caliber (which, in it's favor, does make a big hole). Archer's killed a TON of mailed fighters for the same reason.
