I have a Xgimi Horizon S Max 4k Dolby Vision Imax Enhance projector n and I play my 3D movies thought my Home Theater and Gaming PC ,I thought my projector was a Issue on 3D because when I play the 3D bluray rip movies and don't experience the pop out effect as I remember when I experience in a Cinema , even the you tube 3d video samples the 3D effect is way more immerse .and you just answer me this question when you said is all about the movie transfer or how the movie was film with a 3D in mind

Great video! I’m brand new to projectors and I will google my question, but I want to ask here too because most of the time I get an AI answer that is totally wrong anyway. My question is, guys, do you all recommend active 3D over passive? I have a passive TV now and I absolutely love it. No battery powered glasses required, just the movie theater ones. With that being said i wondered also if anybody ever watched the home 3d blu ray versions of Nightmare before Christmas and Coraline? They looked amazing in their re-release in theaters last couple years, but the blu rays don’t hold a candle to them. At least not on my passive 3d set up. I guess that poses another question. Has anybody watched and compared those two movies on passive vs active setups? Is there a difference or are the home versions just a more subtle 3d than the new re-release? Anyway. Sorry for the looooong question(s) thanks for the video! I hope to set up a projector in the very near future!!!

Bring back 3D tvs. I have that on blu-ray, & it is cool. I just watched Spacehunter last night, & I'm extremely disappointed they never released that on 3D blu-ray. I always think of those fims together. I originally saw Metalstorm on cable. Kelly was a fine feline. Metalstorm is like Road Warrior space. I'd rather watch Metalstorm than beyond thunderdome. I actually like Metalstorm. It doesn't give me a headache in 3D. I'm disappointed you didn't like it. I do like Spacehunter better though.

Hi Tommy do you mind sharing your color calibration for this projector in a pitch black room setting? I played around with the brightness, contrast... etc thinking it look great only till i get to later part of a movie and the image look completely washed out. I tried tinkering back and forth many times until my eyes got tired and I stopped trusting my untrained eyes anymore. For your information I'm projecting it onto a wall and under settings there is an option to choose my wall color. If I'm in a complete dark room should I select black instead of my wall color?
@TommyBoy3D16 күн бұрын
@@Garasky Wow! A whole lot to unpack here and frankly I don’t do much. When I projected on the wall I always paint a nice white area and trim it off with some wood trim. Never projected on anything but white. I don’t color calibrate. I run the bulb on high with +10 on the brightness. Contrast I don’t play with much. The nature of the projector is going to give you some washed out sky’s if you want the brightness up. I wish you luck but in reality I’m just a hacker on the setting. Roll the flick and give me some popcorn and I’m good. 😎

Tommy Boi, have you seen the new 3D releases from Germany? The Label "Turbine Media" released a bunch of movies that were never released on a 3D blu ray, but had a 3D Cinema run. They already released: - Migration - The Bad Guys - Jurassic World Dominion - Migration - Dolittle - Mission Impossible: Fallout - Transformers: Rise of the Beasts - Bumblebee - Sing 2 What we know comes Next: - Friday the 13th Part 3 - Scream 6 - TMNT (forgot which part) They also said that it was successful enough for them that they were able to make new licensing deals, and they already teased: - The Super Mario bros. Movie Sadly, no other movies are known to come so far. I got most of them at home by now, and will definitely pick up The super mario bros movie should they actually release it. All of their movies so far came with an english (and german) Dolby Atmos track. As an 3D fan, they made me by far the most excited about the format since they took the leap and released 3D Blu rays, while all the major studios abandoned the format by now.

@jdx417420 күн бұрын
They are all region free. Wouldn't make much sense otherwise, knowing they have the Monopol on this. It just wouldn't make any sense to restrict people from outside of Europe from accessing the titles if they want this to be financially successful long term. It's still a niche product.

This is a great one! I was lucky enough to see it twice in 3-D revivals theatrically. The Blu Ray is phenomenal; the telescope 'pop out' is reference stuff. The 3-track interlock mag stereo is startling for its time and sounds great. Most of the 3-D is 'screen space' heavy, which works very well.

Even with a passive tv the transfer in 3d is on the dark side and the 3d a little too mild for me and even took the glasses off to see if there was a difference. A little bit of a bore from the beginning. The last part of the film was incredible! I saw the blu ray scenes at the end were much brighter and thought my 75 inch tv was going to blow up!

I'm going to try for like the fourth time to get a message to you. Paramount has now released two Transformers and one Mission Impossible movie in 3D that were in 3D at the theater but they didn't release on disc. And if I'm careful not to say anything that list any websites and maybe I can tell you that you know where to go to look for Transformers Bumblebee, Transformers rise of the beasts and Mission Impossible Fallout Plus you can also get Jurassic world Dominion from the same place. Well you know where to go to find out where you can purchase these things. I can assure you they're outstanding! If you happen to get this would you please yell back at me? Thank you you're doing great work!

Paramount and Universal have licensed Turbine to put these movies on disc and sell them to the public. They are a little bit pricey but I'm not sure they will ever become widely available like on e. bay and everywhere else so they are well worth the price and they're really really good and have outstanding 3d!

Tommy did you see that freaking scary cat that comes all the way to your face with smirk on his face, WOW try to pause it when that happens, it's as good as the 3D movies we use to see when we went to disneyland, where Hummingbirds almost poked your nose, and that happened about 4 times and at the very end of the movie there is a butterfly that comes 2 feet from your face very impressive, check it out when you have time.
