I've recently got on the Neko rig and have never caught this many perch before. Our waters are heavily fished, so the perch are switched on - but the Neko gets them everytime! It's so good in so many applications, my new go rig to for guaranteed fun.

Possibly a silly question but.... do you ever give location your fishing away? Would love to catch a Z and do u know if they are in the north west area? Great video by the way, think i could learn a lot from your videos.

Why don’t you place your landing net next to you instead of putting it behind you. Every time you need the landing net, you have to reach back, not being able to concentrate on the fish, make it easy on yourself😉.
@luresonly

When competition fishing I have the net attached to me, when I'm filming I'm often moving spots quickly and I'll take my bag off, it's not a massive issue, I don't tend to lose fish

What does the law say? Are there places where you are allowed to return Zander?

The club's I fish have strict rules on returning all fish, plus it's the same rules that apply to grey squirrels, and nothing is done about them

Watched 2 mins of this video and already know you know what you’re on about much more advanced tips than most U.K. lure lads who still think Texas rigs are brand new 😂 one tip I could give newbies to this style of fishing is to try fishing on calmer days as bite registration and staying tight on the bait is hard when wind is gusting

In the warmer months are you looking for deeper sections of the river still or not?
@luresonly
@luresonly Жыл бұрын
No mate, they can be tough to catch this time of year, but you get them in the white water shallow, and generally spread out in the faster water, depth isn't that important but they do like a bit

Great videos mate. Do you tie your wire trace straight to the braid when using topwater or use a mono/flouro leader in-between? Will you be making any new videos this coming river season?
@luresonly
@luresonly 9 ай бұрын
I usually have a flouro also, just because light braids don't hold knots very well, especially 8 strand it's pretty slick against the steel, flouro knots never slip!

May I ask would the Texas Rig still be the favourite if the river was really rocky and snaggy?
@luresonly
@luresonly Жыл бұрын
That's the main reason I use it, it's very weedless and snag free, unfortunately sometimes they slip between rocks, but in this case I try to go as light as possible

Can You give me advice how to find out fedding Zander spot on Trent ?
@luresonly
@luresonly Жыл бұрын
They are pretty much everywhere, but they always sit in the same sort of features, deep rocky bottoms, edges of slacks, crease lines between current or behind structure, it's just a game of finding likely looking spots and flogging them to see if their are any around
